Twilight Plays a Strategy Game by Jay-The-Brony

Ever since her first visit to the human world, Twilight has maintained an interest in all of the things those people do over there. Recently, she has happened upon a particular hobby, involving something called "video games", and has, in fact, been recommended one by her friends on the other side. A game of strategy. Surely, with her intellect, such a game should be easy...right?

Review
Twilight receives a computer and a strategy game from Sunset Shimmer. So she plays the game and fails horribly because of money problems.

So, the pacing on this is fabulous, though it can feel a little long. It has very few errors within the text, which is nice. And it seems planned out enough for a story, leaving the rest as random problems for Twilight to handle. The tags work quite well too.

Score: 8/10 Recommendation: Recommended.

Personal Thoughts: This is indeed a nice comedy fic.

After her last encounter with a video game, Twilight hasn't been all that enamoured with them. But, one day, she reveals to Spike that Sunset had tried to encourage her to try her hoof at a different type of game.

Review
Sunset sends Twilight a horror game to play. So Twilight plays it and gets thoroughly scared.

This pacing is great, but again, it can get to feel a little long. It has very few errors, though. And it seems rather planned out, but still with a little randomness. The tags work out alright, but I'm kinda wondering why the "Slice of Life" is there.

Score: 7.5/10 Recommendation: Recommended.

Personal Thoughts: Though they both got "Recommended," this one is not quite as good as the first.

Celestia vs. Garble by Rambling Writer
(Alternate Universe, Comedy)
Garble has won the Gauntlet of Fire and taken the Bloodstone Scepter. Upon hearing of this, Celestia, determined to stop the bloodthirsty Dragon Lord in his tracks, challenges him to a one-on-one duel for the fate of Equestria and the Dragonlands. An immortal alicorn capable of moving the sun with millennia of experience under her belt versus a teenaged dragon with no experience at all. Garble accepts. Stupider things have probably happened, but it's hard to say how.

Review
Celestia challenges Garble to single combat for the fate of Equestria. While on the battleground, before the battle starts, and offers him cake or death. He refuses the cake. Garble proceeds to be erased from existence by a fire pillar from the sun. Ember then becomes the new Dragon Lord, and she chooses cake.

The pacing on this is so amazingly great, I do not believe it can be much better. It has very few errors within, which really helps. And it seems quite planned out, but also not at all, but that's what makes it good. The tags work quite well.

Score: 9.5/10 Recommendation: Highly Recommended.

Personal Thoughts: This is the best of the "Garble as Dragon Lord" fics I've read so far.
