In recovery

Life must really have it against me to write anything.

Like, throwing every stick, rock, and stone it can to stop me.

Almost out of the hospital. Maybe the leave will give me time to write if the recovery isn't too difficult. Kind of hurts to sit up after surgery.

Well your on the road to recovery so that means the worst is over. But if you were given anesthesia then I can attest that waiting for it to fade is a bummer though this depends on the type I guess.

Anesthesia for the operation, but I came to before I had even left the operating room, and without pain meds for a good long while. That remains one of my less pleasant experiences.

Oh trust me stronger anesthesia has it downside too (spinal anesthesia in my case). Not feeling anything from the lower half of your body for a number of days is awful. The worst bit is that the numbness leaves THAT part the last, it was rather scary.
