So After Last Chapter...Who Is Interested In Future CROSSOVERS Out Of Curiousity? · 7:04pm Nov 25th, 2016
So last chapter had some interesting developments. One of which was that Ethan Finally crafted a 'token' for Mysterio. But that got me thinking as to who to keep in mind for future crossovers. The world of Displaced is filled with interesting characters, and while I don't want to spam the story I am crafting with them, I do hope to have some fun times with more interesting characters like I did with Thisguyhere and Maze. So I wanted to let it be known that if you want to make use of Mysterio's token (Which you can read a bit more up on in the chapter here.) If you could leave a comment below with your character's basic info and token, I'd put you on a list I would keep in mind for future escapades. I know some of you have expressed interest in the past-

a few are ok but please dont overdo it and please let those few fit into the story because i saw many displaced fics already that ruined themselves with too many crossovers

Not quite sure myself as you seem to have quite the number of tricky ones from the looks of it. Maybe it is better to consider which one Ethan would suite a cameo. Makes it easier to plan around.

Yours would probably be fun to do considering Ethan's vendetta against Spider-Man. Although I think he may also be frightened at the prospect of symbiotes. So more fun there too!

Oh believe me! I am definitely going to be cautious against falling into that pitfall. If anything, I am probably going to make only the crossovers that make sense to add part of my story as I did with Maze. I still want Ethan to jump into others, but not get derailed by timeskips and other factors that can ruin the original storyline for him like some displaced sadly get ruined by. No offense to anyone of course!!
I really hope they'll be kept minimal. Crossovers are always the worst thing about these stories. They rip the characters right out of the plot and bring in someone I don't care about and often enough, the story never recovers from that. Seriously, I've seen stories die from that. The last one was tolerable, but I wouldn't do more than one, at most two, for the entire rest of the story, or they'll just take it over completely and drive off anyone who doesn't care about the source story you're using. It's what usually happens.

A very good point! This blog post is certainly giving some food for thought.
Honestly I was just curious who was interested as any I would do(especially that take place in my story) would be much further down the line unless it took place in the guest's.
I definitely do not want to fall into any pitfalls. Perhaps it would be possible to even set the crossings in another story seperate from 'Charlatan'? A sort of 'sidequal', if you will?

A good compromise, although you'd have to make sure that these interactions and the relevance really does stay confined to the side story. It would be rather pointless to put those crossovers a side story that then becomes required reading anyway, I'm sure you see what I mean. It would be fine to have something like that, but he couldn't take too much away from it in terms of practical advantage or references in the main story.
