I have always been fascinated by things unknown.

As a little kid, I remember stumbling upon something. I didn't know what it was then, I still don't know what it was now, but all I know is that it shaped me. It was my token, something that gave me good luck. It helped me realize what my own special talents were. It made me want to explore where no one has before.

But now my own endeavors have led myself and others to this world. Perhaps, trapped forever with no way back. In a world where everything is upside-down. It's all my fault. I have to fix this. And I will find them. Even if it's at the cost of my own life.

I am Melody.

Hey guys!

This is my first attempt at an HiE, and I wanna see what you think of how I did! I tried breaking a lot of the stereotypes associated with HiE's, such as waking up in the Everfree, a guy turning into a mare, a guy as the protagonist, and meeting with either one of or the entire Mane Six right off the bat. I really tried to rectify all of that.

So I made my OC meet Derpy and Octavia first, she was injured coming through somehow into the land of Equestria, and I really want it to be a strong lead that isn't a guy. I won't be having any unnecessary drama drama, but I will have drama related to the plot. You can be sure of that!
