IN WHICH I WRITE NEW STUFF
So, in an attempt to deflect attention away from the pathetic state of my own existence, I've decided to instead channel that into ruminating on the pathetic state of Sunset Shimmer's existence.
That's right, I've started writing another Sunny one-shot. It will be called "Rarity Visits Sunset Shimmer at 4am" and will be a direct sequel to "Lows & Highs". Of course, with a title like that, it should be a comedy. Indeed, I wanted to use that title for a comedy. But I realized that, in my current state, there was no way I could write a comedy of any sort. More specifically, I realized I couldn't make both a funny concept for that and stretch it out to 1000 words. Instead, I found myself doing what I seem to do best: have Sunset ramble internally about complete bullshit. Look forward to it!
PS - As I still haven't seen Legend Of Everfree, I can only assume there is an increasing disconnect between the Sunset Shimmer that exists in canon and the broken Sunset Shimmer that I write. I take full responsibility for that and offer my apologies. Let the record show I never claimed to be a good writer.
PPS - By the way, this all started because I tried to think up a way to fix my Dazzlings story and make it not suck. Alas.
I'd recommend seeing it when you can. It's good! Yes it continues to develop Sunset, but I think it still leaves room for other interpretations of her character.
