And because people keep asking... · 11:58pm Oct 27th, 2016
Yes, Gosling's talent, his gift if you wish to call it that, is to inspire happiness in others. It is hinted at and suggested in the story, but I keep getting messages asking to confirm it, so here we go. Gosling's rubber duckie, his cutie mark, is a manifestation of his desire to inspire happiness in others. (And himself)
On a different note, Gosling is one of the characters that is most difficult and most taxing for me to write. He's an extrovert, and very much so. Trying to force my brain into seeing the world as Gosling might see it is mentally exhausting and causes me a lot of stress. No joke. Gosling and Gloomy both cause me fits. Gloomy is even worse, she is both an optimist and an extrovert, and these qualities make these characters very, very difficult for me to write. Their headspace and my headspace don't mesh.
Can an introvert write a believable extrovert? I don't know. Looking at my own work, I'm biased, so I can't write an objective answer. I don't know.
Oh so that makes perfect sense. I was wondering about that. I almost thought it meant he was like good at swimming or maybe bath time.
Okay I'll admit that the last one was
a stretchtotally me just trying and failing to troll.Trust me you did an extremely good job...
I think you did, yeah. I'm strongly introverted myself, so I may nae be the best judge, belike, but I could find no serious fault in your portrayal.
I was hoping his talent was squeaking when he was squeezed

Oh, he does that too, depending on which parts are squeezed.

I can't speak concretely on introvert/extrovert... but I will say this, You have written an extremely entertaining and interesting character that I really like.
you seem to be doing pretty good at it
i mean im a introvert but i have some extrovert family and friends so i know how they tend to work a bit
Is Swans done or is that particular chapter of the story done with another entry on the way?

The Perilous Gestation of Swans is planned, but not right away. As stated, I plan to finish some other works.

I'll be on the Shetlands with Bucky, Sideralis, and Rye Mash then.
All right, that makes sense, but I still have one question...
Does he go *squeak* when you squeeze him?
