Was the Fluff series my high point? · 1:52am Oct 15th, 2016
I just want to apologize for the lack of content recently. School work has been biting me in the ass lately, and I've needed to focus. I'm on my midterm break now, but I've spent it all fixing my computer and working on homework (thanks, professors ). I'm doing my best to work out the story to The Green Leaves of Everfree, and I'm trying to come up with oneshots, but I'm not as creative as other people on the site are. I have to come up with something that piques interest and can be executed adequately. It's not easy, and I'm sorry for the lack of content.
I've been contemplating something. Was the fluff series my high point? Was it the best I'll ever be? Even those stories really aren't that great, but people eat it up for some reason. Every story on there has been featured, after all. I'm just worried that I won't be able to come up with anything as great as any of those oneshots. A Little Midnight Chat is the exception to the rule, being my highest-rated story, probably because it's SunLight. Again, you have to come up with something marketable. Everything from the short description, the long description, to the title are all factors. You have to get the reader interested enough to click the next link, eventually bringing them to your story. It's all marketing.
What do you think? Will I ever reach another high point without making another installment to the fluff series? It's not like I don't want to write another installment, it's just I want to know if I'd eventually be able to branch off.
And I'm sorry for the lack of content again. I'm not sure when I'll be able to start writing again, but hopefully it won't be too much longer.
No, all of your stories are your high points. You've made great stories, and its what made you awesome. Don't think down about yourself buddy, you're amazing.
It depends... what do you think... Lil Wayne
The fluff series was a high point out of many future ones. I bet you'll develop into one of the most followed authors on this site in the future. I mean, if I'm not mistaken, You've been writing fanfiction for less than a year. Already, you have almost half of a thousand here, and probably a bunch on fanfiction.net (I can't figure out how to see how many you have there).
You're only gonna continue to grow, dude.
Im sure you can get something going if you branch off. If you have an idea go for it. You never know whats gona be a hit. Tho romance seams to be something your known for so maybe have some romance in what you do.
I think the majority of your stories are good, and it's a bonus that a healthy amount of your work is also popular.
If it's the fact that the other fics aren't as popular as you thought they'd be, I think I have a quote that might help with that:
Personally, I think your stories fall into the second two categories: Good, and Good and Popular. And I agree with 4256333 on his point: barely a year, and half a thousand people have taken the time to follow you on this journey. That's not counting all the other readers who have been touched by your work. and have added it to their collections.
Do what you think best, my friend. But don't think your other tales are bad because of their lackluster number of views.
I think your fluff stories it's your high point. You should do another series, but with the Shadowbolts.
You have 430 followers, each of which will automatically be told when you post a story. Chances are, at least half of them will read it, and almost all of them will either do that or put it on the read it later list. It isn't your only high point. Perhaps for now, but making another high point is likely going to be easy.
4256452 I don't think their characters are developed enough for me to work with them. Then again, I could see that as a challenge . But I actually have an idea for the next one, and that's all I'm saying
You've made many great things and you're bound to make more
Don't worry about not posting much content up dude, I know how you feel (or at least I certainly will soon).
I'm doing my exams this school-year. Even though it's quite a few months before them though, I'm still panicking about them. I really lack confidence - I don't think that I'll pass any of them. That's why I'm trying to think up of as much stuff for my stories (both my on-going Fluttershy's Secret story, along with any other shorter stories) now, while I have just about enough time (when I don't have any or hardly any homework/revision to complete).
As for reaching another high point - I believe you can do it. I strongly believe that you can reach another high point. I'm pretty sure you've got a lot of passion in your stories, so I don't see why it'll be impossible to get another high point in your Fimfiction Writing Career.
Only you can determine that.
You could say it was, but to be honest, I like more your CopperShy fics, I really love them! :D
