I'm currently writing the first sequel to Holiday Sunlight and am almost to the end. I'm sure I'll release before Legend of the Everfree premiers on Netflix. Speaking of Everfree, I've been listening to its soundtrack. I really like it. I say go buy it (beware of spoilers though). While I was writing my story and listening to the soundtrack, it got me thinking about something: just why do I prefer shipping Sunset with Princess Twilight rather than Sci-Twi? I thought and what I came up with was I think their relationship is sweeter and more genuine, and I really like how they support each other. Now, I do like Sunset and Sci-Twi too, just not as much. I just think Sunset has better connection with Princess Twilight.
Now, I want to which would you choose: SunLight (Sunset Shimmer and Princess Twilight Sparkle) or SciLight (Sunset Shimmer and Sci Twi). Which do you prefer, and why do you prefer it? Also, this won't have ANY effect on my Sunlight series as a whole. I just think it'd give me some more food for thought for certain scenes I have planned out.
Now, am I forgetting something? Oh yeah.

To be honest, I don't care which Twilight Sunset ends up with. I just like them paired together because of like you said, how sweet and genuine their relationship is.

Sunlight all the way the princess and Sunset have so much in comman and the play well off each other.
Im okay with either, though I like Sunlight a little more.
I could see why people ship sunset with the princess, but with sci-twi i guess there would be more chances for a firmer ship, since they kind of see each other everyday or so. just my two cents on that.
also, does a lady sing the first section of "todo cambio"? because i have listened to it twice already and i can't tell if it's a lady singing or the guy singing too softly.

Sunlight, I just feel like sunset and the princess would work better together.

I like both pairings, though for different reasons. Sunlight have the shared experiences of being Equestrian, unicorns, and being personal students of Celestia. Scilight have the shared experiences of darkness, redemption and living with guilt. Both pairings dealt with high expectations at a young age, being prodigies. With Sunlight, Twilight is the savior figure that Sunset looks up to, and with Scilight, it's the other way around. That said, I guess I prefer Scilight more, because it makes Sunset that much more of a hero figure, and I love her most of all.
Why are you calling it Scilight? Sunset's name is nowhere in that. It sounds more like a ship of Sci-Twi and Princess Twilight than anything involving Sunset. Or possibly even just a different nickname for Sci-Twi
SunLight is my pic, SciLight usually is about Sci Twi admiring Sunset while Sunset thinks she is cute and/or wish to protect her and be there for here for their common experiences. Meanwhile with SunLight in a more mutual level of care and trust being more equals and knowing each other shortcomings and accomplishments giving the feeling of a more mature and maybe healthier relationship that SciLight. At least thats how I see it, but SciLtight is still good.

4213698 Good points. Of those points, I do like the idea of Sunset looking up to Princess Twilight. It gives the sense that she looks up to someone, and that someone gives her hope.

I'm late to the party, but that just means my opposing opinion might not be seen
While I love both SunLight and SciLight, as you call them, I am partial to SciLight.
While Sunset and Twilight have a lot in common, both being former students of Princess Celestia and magical unicorn prodigies, I do feel as though their relationship is more friendshippy than purely romantic. In addition to that, Twilight is a Princess living in Equestria, while Sunset has made her home in the human world, whatever its name is.
This in contrast to Sci-Twi and Sunset.
Sunset first met Sci-Twi under less than ideal circumstances, true, but in my mind it only served to cement their relationship. They both gave in to dark magic, letting it take control of them, turning them into raging she-demons. The difference being that while Sunset had the magic forcefully ejected by the elements of harmony, Sci-Twi was talked down and made to realise her error by Sunset, adding more fuel to the shipping fire. I feel that their shared experiences in that regard counts for more than SunLight. In addition, SciTwi is currently going through what Sunset went through in regards to induction into the rainbooms and her introduction to friendship.
Sunset and Scilight are at the same place in life, where Twilight has already matured past Sunset and serves better as a friend/mentor figure to help her develop. In my humble opinion.
This is, of course, only if you force me to choose. Any sort of romance involving Sunset and Twilight/SciTwi is good romance.

SciLight is better cause dark magic.
