They made the theme song worse.
THEY MADE.
THE THEME SONG.
WORSE.
You know someone failed hard when the fan dubbed trailer with the Digi Rap was more nostalgic. This was just painful to watch. The theme song should be all about nostalgia of Saturday mornings; especially for the 20-somethings who are going to be buying tickets to see this.
I'm sure the full thing will be better, especially with the VA cast (Joshua Seth confirmed to return as Tai), but this song is terrible. Absolutely terrible.

As a man who grew up with Digimon {and pokemon} I have to say that I have never wanted to slap a composer/singer/whoever made that so much before.

I must agree too. Heck Digimon Fusion's theme and entire plot was better than this. How could they botch the freaking theme song for the movie!?
I just hope the theme song is the only thing they botch for the dub. You've got a good thing on your hands, dubbers, don't blow it!
Alright I listened to it, just to see if it was being overblown. I wish I hadn't. This song is epic butthurt for the ears! It's not even the fact that it's a remix that's bad, it's that they didn't remix it decently.
I liked the original English theme song and songs in general... this is horrible... What the hell were they on making this!
I never liked the American opening for Digimon, so this was just... no. Just use Butter-Fly! That song sounds great remixed, and we all know it's the real opening by now!

Digimon is one of those anime that I wish had been dubbed by a studio/network willing to use the Japanese title sequences and music. Tamers especially. However, whatever else people might think about it, Frontier's english theme was pretty awesome, so props to that.
4154101 I really thought about trying my hand at making a fan intro to Tamers and put it to the Frontier theme, but after my tribute video to Tamers got a manual copyright strike (meaning someone at Toei Animation saw it and fired off a legal notice to YouTube), I took down every single one of my Digimon videos, and haven't given them another thought. Even the hard drive I had them on is gone, so they're completely gone, unfortunately.
