Vacation starts now! Oh, the glory! I can hear angels sing! · 8:42am Aug 13th, 2016
I look at guys accounts on the site and I see blog numbers reaching double digits, while here I stay quiet like the shy, pig tailed girl in the back of the class. So, I thought, why not make a blog today? Make a difference, give a hoot.
So here it is. Today marks a special day for me. My two week vacation starts today! Go me!
That's right. Went to work yesterday, finished everything up, cleaned the clutter on my desk, cleared my browser history lest someone sees I have been connecting to naughty sites like FIMfiction, and waved goodbye. So long suckers, cya in 2 weeks, kktnxbb. The office I work in closes down for just a week. I fully expect them to start calling me nonstop starting next Monday to ask if I "mind coming over to do this little one task, it's like ten minutes for you tops."
I've already disassembled my cellphone to its components parts and disguised every sign of my existence in town.
Two weeks of vacation! Where to go? I'm Greek, boys and girls. I live in Greece. The possibilities are endless!

Time to hit the road and forget all my woes. Let's see, what can I do with my budget in two weeks time?

Well, so much for that plan.
I guess, there's only one thing left for me to do. Stay home, hole up in my room, read, play games, write, and probably gain like 20 kilos in the process. Maybe not play games so much. I'm having a hard time finding a game that I don't get bored off extremely quickly, and if I do find any good ones there's a voice in my head that says "you could spend that time writing and drawing. You're slacking off, booooo." I don't know why it does the ghost sound in the end.
I'm going to try to use this time to get some real writing time down. I wonder how much I'm gonna be able to crank out if I focus without work hanging over my head.
I would love to finish up this horror story I've been thinking of for so long, especially considering I want to rewrite everything in 1st person view now.
I've also got an idea for another story, a sequel to Ocalhoun's Blink. That one could end up as kind of a tragedy story.
I've also been thinking another story in my mind for a while. It's about a pony in the real world. The only one. She's thought to have been some kind of aberration of birth, a mutation of form that actually lived. The story would be seen through her youtube vlogs that she does as kind of a diary therapy considering the life she lives as being completely different from everyone else, but with a hint of something else going on in the background.
I would like to write another comedy too, since "Aliens abduct an orange yokel" was well received. I don't have anything solid in mind yet, but perhaps something a little longer than a one-shot would be cool.
I've also got a couple ideas for original stories. Especially one that involves a magnificent villain set in a sword and sorcery setting. I've got a pretty cool idea for a magic system there that actually put real, believable restraints on even the most powerful of wizards.
I'd also like to put out some Twilight Years chapters too. There's still so many I'd like to put out there.
And of course, I really want to put out a whole lot more "The Lunar Guardsman". The story really has plenty more yet, especially since things happen that I didn't expect them to, or they end up needing so much more attention that I thought they would. Heck, the current chapter became over 23k on me and I'm still not done, not even close. I'm cutting this bad boy into parts, but I really intend to write a WHOLE lot more of that story especially. If you listen real carefully you might be able to hear Requiem17 scream in panic. I bet you regret becoming my editor now, eh? Bit a little more than you expected?
TLDR; I'm staying home like a scrub for two weeks, gonna write a lot if I can manage.
What are you guys doing for vacation or did you take yours already? And if you lucky flanks don't need to work yet, how have you been suckling your parents wallet so far?
