My story, and why writing MLP leaves me now.... conflicted

I think my last post was brief, so I might as well go into some detail here about my story, why I started writing mlp fanfic, and what is happening now.

    G5: OH THE IRONY...

You know, it's really really funny... G5 has all the three tribes of ponies hating each other, and living in a modern setting centuries after FiM. I wrote about this very ideas years ago, before G5 was ever conceived of, in a story where Celestia and Luna go on a vacation incognito to the earth pony town of Coltonville, and find pony hatred and paranoia, as well as a conspiracy against unicorn

    Returning for real this time

Okay, everybody, Paradise/Tornado here again! Yes I know it's been a year, but I needed time to recover from a ten-year burnout in writing, and it took awhile to get my creative juices flowing again. I'm putting together plans for a new story or two, though my plans for my 'big finish' story are on hold again. I hope many of you are still here, and look forward to entertaining all of you with my

Applejack and Majesty · 6:12am May 30th, 2016

Hey everybody, Applejack here! Hm, sounds like Tornado is working on Queen Majesty's biography, and that's the story that catches my interest. You see, it was Wind Whistler and I who accom-ponyed Majesty on her first great adventure across Ponyland, When we teamed up with the mountain boy ponies (the parents of Tornado and his generation of Mountain boys) to defeat an evil wizard who was trying to take over the Confederacy with an army of evil phantom ponies. Majesty learned how to be a good leader on that journey (Though she never did figure out I was the original Applejack, though) and we all learned what a truly great pony she was destined to become.

Majesty... I feel sorry for the poor gal. She's far more powerful than either Celestia, Luna, Cadence or Twilight sparkle ever were, but has little of their wisdom or intelligence to wield that power. She basically has to stumble around in the dark as a ruler, and I think those flaws and the ability to make mistakes makes her just as strong of a ruler as the alicorns were. There was no one their to guide her by the hoof, and she had to learn how to deal with her responsibility with anybody to hold her hoof and guide her. Any mistakes her hers to deal with, and she always lives up to her mistakes. She is one of the few rulers who has earned my respect on the battlefield firsthand.

Look, even if you don't like the confederacy's polices or it's leaders, Majesty is a good and noble queen who has earned my trust and respect- and ya know how hard it is to get that from an Apple. Yeah, her great-great-grandma killed the tree of harmony, and destroyed civilization as we knew it... but I ain't gonna hold that against my queen for what her family did. Give her story a read, and see how I helped save Ponyland for the.... what, hundredth time? Geez, it's been so many, I've really lost count...

Bravo!

A pony should be respecting and loyal to their queen, and the queen should earn that respect from her subjects!

If Old Applejack knew the original Alicorns from Equestria times, then shouldn't she be like an advisor to her Majesty in her time of need to make sure the mistakes of the past aren't repeated ?

Or does that job fall under Spike ?

Lass if there is one thing history can show it is that wisdom takes time to be gained and even Their Equestriani Majesties stumbled around in the dark during the early days following the fall of the Chaos Tyrant. And power can take many forms.
