    Quick Update

I do apologize for not getting the next chapter of The Light of a Candle out, but I've been preparing for the upcoming move and just haven't made the time to write. I've been debating on which perspective to go with and it's been kind of annoying.

Chapter 20 Update (I promise, it's the last one)

Chapter is now being beaten to death like the dead horse topics we love to argue over. Pick a topic, and I'll drag out the corpse.

    Should be out tonight!

    Chapter 20 Update

3300 words so far. I haven't forgotten. There were some changes I wanted to work through for one of the characters. I was not happy with the original concept and decided to delve a bit into Greek myth for inspiration. I hope you like it when I do publish the chapter. It's not done. There's one last bit to do for it before I ship it off to my editors for ridicule. I do apologize for the delay, but

Catherine the Great Q & A · 4:28am Apr 30th, 2016

I'm sure you guys have a ton of questions!

I'll answer them, so long as there are no spoilers!

Limit question one per post.

If you post more than one question, I will choose to answer only one. You may ask characters who have appeared in the story questions directly, but they may or may not have the answer you seek.

Keep the questions clean. Be polite and respectful to each other.

Have fun!

Dear Cabbage,
How do I shot web?
What's the strongest material you can make with your butt?

3906731
Cabbage: *grinning happily while eating chocolate pudding* Potatowned Armor!

Angela: Sorry about that. The thread he spins is stronger than spider silk. It works a lot like the steel rods you see used at construction sites. He can shape it any way he likes or is asked to. It hardens when it comes in contact with air and is mixed with my brother's saliva. The silica he creates from his saliva is our 'goop' and he can mold it into anything: building material, floors, and even armor. He can make it flexible or as hard as granite. It depends on what is needed for building. He does need supervising. He once made a statue of Mother out of his thread in the middle of the feeding chamber when all he was supposed to do was replace the central support column for the chamber!

She did let it stay up.

It is durable, very strong, and is an expansion on what we use to build with. Cabbage and I are among the first in the next generation of construction drones!

Potato?

Brassica oleracea!

Cabbage: *solemnly points* 3906818 *nods sagely*

Gordon, what's your favorite thing to cook?

3906829

Gordon: Oh, there's a question that is simply not easy to ask. As a chef, I have a lot of recipes I absolutely love to create. There's no one single dish I love more than others, but I can give you a sample of a memorable dinner I made for Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. They both absolutely loved it!

The appetizer was stuffed mushrooms! Freshly picked from the Royal Gardens! Grate some fresh Parmesan cheese, cottage cheese, some vegetable oil, a bit of black pepper, onion powder, and a touch of cayenne pepper... Delicious!

The main entree was sweet potato Gundi with sage butter. Sweet potatoes, egg yolk, ricotta cheese, Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, a pinch of salt and ground pepper, ground nutmeg, some flour... To die for!

Dessert was a lovely chocolate cheese cake. Made from scratch. I had to make sure there were two cheese cakes. Princess Celestia takes her cake eating very seriously!

This question goes to Newton, who is the youngest in this new hive?

To Gordon, I'm going to ask you the same question that I've asked many chiefs and cooks in the restaurant business: Let's say (in theory) that you're going to die tomorrow. You're on death row, and you'll be gone in a couple of hours. Now the guard comes in and says that you could have absolutely anything you want* as a last meal. Here's the real question, in that situation, what would it be?

*(Note: There are no limits whatsoever with this. I mean anything, no matter how rare, illegal, expensive, questionable, or impossible it is, the guard in this scenario cannot refuse.)

Alpha & Beta...

How tasty was God's Magic (and love)...?

3906924 Gordon Celestia's love in syrup form drizzled over banana waffles.

3906886 Newton The youngest? Oh, I'm sure we have a nymph or three from the same clutch around here...

3906934 Alpha Silly question. Mother would never let us feed from her!

Dear Cabbage:

What is your name?
What is your quest?
What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?

Newton once the hive is established who will lay the next generation ?

3908251
Cabbage Cabbage! Get hugs! Um...potato?
3908319
Newton No idea. Ve vill cross zat bridge ven ve get to it, ja?

Um... Speaker, so you seem to be the defacto leader (for the moment) of this crazy bunch of 'lings. How have you not gone completely buggy? Er, sorry... I mean, "not gone completely crazy"? :pinkiecrazy:

3908935
Speaker Who says I haven't already?:pinkiecrazy:

I can suposse that no changeling tried to read any book or check any library?

3911025 Not yet. There are other changelings searching and getting into trouble.

I wanted to wait to see if someone put another question before putting this question, but well...

Catherine father... Did you know you kicked the chicken of golden eggs, right? Think about it, hundred and hundred of changelings that could do almost everything for you, and they have even magic, if you used it right, you could win enough money, think even about the news, soon or later they are going to be discovered after all, why not use them? You could just give to the world something great.

3919650 Frank: Well, you have a bunch of bugs enter your home, fill it to the brim with their bodies, sing horrible songs, dance everywhere, damage the furniture, put a hole in the kitchen floor thanks to an untimely bowel movement, and think how rational your thinking would be! On top of that, my mood keeps swinging and I can't explain it!
