Concerning the attempt to mix our God with sinful actions... · 12:28am Mar 17th, 2016

This will probably be a very un-popular post. Many of the "civil rights" and pro-ACLU people will be upset with what I have to say here. Homosexual people may be upset with what they find here, and people who do not share the faith will no doubt be offended.

Well, that has no bearing on whether or not the truth is valid. Truth simply is. No amount of rejection of it or efforts to believe a lie to the contrary can change the truth. And the truth here is, you cannot mix belief in God with the sinful actions of our age.

Today, a 'Christian' group chose to add a story to it that that tries to combine Christian beliefs with something God has condemned, and condemned numerous times; homosexuality. No, this isn't a hate blog, this isn't a "go get your guns and torches" blog. This is a blog trying to remind those who are willing to accept it that this is wrong, and always has been.

In the time of Kings, Chronicles, and Jeremiah, all the kings of Israel and many if not most of the kings of Judah tired to mix the worship of the One True God with false pagan gods and rituals that did not condemn their actions and (because these other, false gods were works of human hands and unknowing, unseeing, unhearing, and unthinking) allowed them to keep on doing wrong. In the end, both kingdoms were destroyed because they rejected true belief, for making fake gods that would let them sin while not rebuking them. Many who God used to rebuke the people, such as the prophet Jeremiah, were persecuted for telling them the opposite, that their actions, false worship and sinful hearts would lead to their destruction.

No, I am not saying to hate homosexuals; God wants us to love others, even our persecutors. It is He who judges. We are called merely as witnesses, as a sign of one of many churches I've passed has reminded me. We should treat people who do this sin as fellow human beings, not as filth. What we are supposed to do is warn people away from this evil, that they may relent and repent of their wrongdoing. Not everyone will accept this. Many will reject it, and attack the people and the character of the people who preach this word. But for the sake of anyone who will listen, it must be said, that the word may perhaps spread and that good might come of it.

We cannot serve both God and man (or mammon). It's one or the other. There is no middle ground. We cannot succeed in efforts to mix good and evil, because the cannot abide in one another's' presence. Any effort to do so just weakens the Bible and its message, while strengthening and allowing evil, and brings us back to the same position as 2,600 years ago, when people attempted to mix true worship with the false, and ended up paying the price, not because God was or is evil - He cannot be or do evil - but because he could stand Israel's wickedness no longer. Please do not reject this blog out of hand. I ask everyone to listen.

I also respectfully ask that people remain polite and respectful in their replies to one another; please do not condemn other people, or attack them. Please love and care for one another as fellow children, as creations of the God who cares enough to warn us away from evil, and who sent His Good Son to die the death we deserve in order to preserve us.

Good night, all of you, and a good day to you all.

*noding with approval* I have no disagreements with what you wrote here and I fully respect you for saying it.

I agree with you on this, even tho I'm not a firm believer in the bible (not God, the bible).

S.W.B.

I'll never understand why/how being gay was ever labeled as a 'sin' even if I were to be told so, times are changing... wish more people would realise that. I respect your detication though, if thats what you believe, then ok.

It's also a sin to offend a child of god, and it's also a sin to cross dress, to complain, to have anxiety, and even cursing is a sin. Oh, and not hating evil is a sin as well. The most ridiculous sin is probably calling a man your father.

3811826 Ah, that would explain it.

On the money once more!:scootangel:

Agreed mate. Though I do believe that God has not called us to love everyone.

Pretty much what I have been saying for a long time, tolerate others and love thy neighbor, even if you secretly hate them don't spread rumors and be polite. Tis not our position to be judge, jury, and executioner, let them hold what the believe and we hold ours.

That said, I am a firm believer in the Lord's word, though there are a few passages I believe the Catholic Church modified, alas, I shall discover answers to that when I die, as shall we all.

(This coming from the guy who's child hood best friend was and still is a Jew, grew up in a neighborhood that seemingly had Muslims everywhere, and who is friends with more than four Atheists... I was Loving and Tolerating the **** out of everyone long before MLP. But then again, isn't that part of what the Lord teaches?)

Thank you.

Well, if you're speaking of the devil, then yes, I believe you're right. But we're called to love other human beings, even those who hate us (Matthew 5:44 and Luke 6: 27-28). God will judge, but we're called, as a church sign I once passed said, as witnesses (to Christ), not as judges (to condemn or prosecute in the sense of divine punishment).

3811868 Yes, we are called to love other people . I'm glad you had, and have, the patience and tolerance for other people.

Thanks for the comment, by the way

3811881 So were suppose to love (For example) a pedophile who molests and rapes our children? A murderer who kills our people? Why do you think God had the punishment of death laid upon them who did such acts? Although I do believe they can be saved if they turn to God and truly repent. (See 2nd Corinthians 7:9-11)

And as Paul said: 'If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.'

And we all know God hates sin. So then he must hate where sin comes from, right? And sin comes from our minds.

3811918 The ultimate source of sin is the devil. I believe that hating human beings is either unbiblical or else detracts from the message of the Bible. If we are to hate anyone, it should be the devil, not the pawns he uses.

I am not saying to approve of the acts of those you mentioned. We should not. Ever. But we should not hate people even if we hate, rightly, the things that they do.

3811995 I never said we should hate. Though I believe as Humans we all fail at not hating. But I do believe there is called to be an absence of love for some.

Now I'm not saying we shouldn't show love. I'm saying there are a few people, we should not show love to. But it is our duty as Christians to bring unbelievers to our Lord.

And sin comes from our thoughts, Adam and Eve proved that and it is shown today even worse. When we are tempted to sin, and commit sin, it runs through our conscience whether or not to do said sin.

3812003 Alright. Well, even if we disagree on one or two things, I don't think this should degenerate into a major argument. Thanks for the support, and I'll respect your viewpoint :ajsmug:

3812725 I respect yours as well mate. I'm sorry if I caused this to start blowing out of proportion.

Cheers!
