So very lazy. I can't get anything done.
On top of that, my mind has drawn a blank, and new story ideas just aren't rolling in at the moment.
I could write another parody, but it would be hard. I don't want to do cupcakes, because it's too difficult to parody, and I don't want to do FO:E, because I'm not dedicated enough to read the entire thing so I can write a parody.
And I can't think of any other fic that is immensely popular with the fandom that I could parody, so I am at a loss.
On the bright side, if I don't think of anything very soon, I might just come around and actually finish The End of Ponyville with a finale chapter.
But if there's one thing I've learned, it's that I can't write chapter fics. It's not like I can't physically do it, or that they come out bad, it's just the fact that I can't focus on one subject for too long, and never finish any of my chapter fics.
On top of that, every time I'm about to go back and finish up a story, or maybe start writing for Separation again, my mind comes up with an idea for a story that I just have to write. It's a give and take relationship.
Anyways, I'm rambling right now.
I guess the point of this post is to let you all know that I'm pumping at stories at a record low pace, and probably won't even start writing again until Season 3 is under way.
That reminds me, when is the first episode to kick off season 3? I'm so out of it...
Anyway, for your troubles, and for reading this abysmal blog post, here's a video of something that isn't pony-related, because I'm just so out of it.

They haven't given word yet to when episode 1 of Season 3 comes out. They told use they would let us know ahead of time, and I am sure ED is watching for it like a hawk. Everyone is just hoping it will come out before the end of the year at least.
I think it's supposed to be around mid September... I want to say the 15th, but I can't be positive on it...
If you're looking for inspiration, I have a suggestion. Arcainum has been kind enough to let me play around in his Harpflank and Sweets universe, and that has parody element in it. You can just write one episode from season 1 and see how that goes. It'll be quick and hopefully give you inspiration for other things to write. It's what I do when I'm lacking drive.
I don't think an exact time for the new season has been announced yet. I think mid September from what I've been able to gather.

Don't feel too bad, part of my problem when it comes to fanfiction has always been trying to contain the many ideas that will appear in my head and focus my work on a few projects instead of tons. Doesn't always work.
Pick two ponies/objects at random and ship them. Works every time.
Do you mean an actual shipfic or another chapter of How Every Shipfic Would Actually Happen. Actually, I could go for another deconstructed pairing right about now.

311605 I'm using a TV Tropes term here. A deconstruction is when you take something in fiction and apply it in a realistic scenario with realistic consequences. It can be a parody, or it can be much darker, but in the end they usually show that certain story elements or ideas would not work out the way they're typically presented, or might not even work at all.

I'm sure there are plenty of excellent parodies out there waiting to happen. And even if you can't make a lengthy parody, you can always start a sort of compilation of short parodies. I'd read it.

311921 if you are speaking of this fic, than I don't think that would make a good parody.
Mostly because it only has 5000 views. Now while 5000 views is a lot on Fimfic, it isn't at the caliber of, say, MLD, which has over 200,000 views. I parodied MLD because I could be pretty sure that basically everyone in the fandom who would read fanfics has read MLD.
One idea that wouldn't exactly be a specific parody, but could be entertaining, would be a story where every single character played matchmaker on everyone else (ie. Twilight writes a shipfic about Rainbow and Pinkie, Rarity tries subtly to help Twilight and Pinkie go on a date, Pinkie Pie doesn't have a clue what's going on etc.) and then it extends to Lyra/Bon Bon and Octavia/Vinyl. On the other hand, that's somewhat similar to How Every Sipfic... although it's not entirely the same.
