For some time now, a buddy of mine by the screen name of Samey90 has been cooking up something special: a story set in the same universe as The Silver Spooner. It doesn't follow the Spooner herself, but rather a different group of wannabe superheroes. I found it pretty cool, and I'd suggest you check it out. Fair warning, though: this ain't your grandpappy's Silver Spooner. Samey's got his own style and tone for this one (duh), which is quite a bit different from the original fic. Still definitely worth checking out and reading, though, so have a look if you like superhero kids.

Being a superhero is not easy. Twist, Button Mash, Dinky, Tagalong, Tootsie Flute, and Nursery Rhyme will soon learn about it the hard way. Timberwolves, Snips and Snails, evil filly scouts... The evil has many faces. But the brave group of foals will soon manage to defeat them all...
Or so they think.
And if you didn't already know, there's a group for stories taking place in the Silver Spoonerverse (yes, it's an awful name, but we couldn't come up with anything much better).
... well, the train is in motion, now, and it's leaving without me. Looks like I need to crack down and get to work on more Silver Spooner stories.
