Chapter 9 of Blank being worked on this weekend · 12:01am Jan 21st, 2016

So this week has been all sorts of hectic. Haven't had much time to myself at all. I haven't even starting writing Chapter 9, but I have everything I want to write planned out. It's going to be called "Catching Up" for anyone who cares. Going to be showing something some of you have been asking for. No, it's not the asparagus story.

Or is it?

My Hey Lise birthday is also coming up in a week from tomorrow. Because of this, I decided to treat myself by selling a few of my knives so that I could buy this from a guy on Reddit.

This is a HOM Specter Evo. balisong. I've been lusting after one for awhile, and finally managed to snag one in my favorite color, teal. Not only that, but I have a GDOK EX10 custom balisong coming in soon. I've been waiting since April for that one. Also going to be teal. Going to look quite similar to the picture below.

Can't wait for either. Also can't wait until I have some (hopefully) free time this weekend to work on Blank. I know I said I would try to keep it under a week between updates, but I just haven't had the time. Sorry guys.

Happy early birthday then, take your time in writing. A rushed product never turns out well, in my opinion.

When you first get an idea for a story, it's super easy to brainstorm everything and just write nonstop. After you move out of that zone, it's an entirely different feeling. I don't like the new feeling. Though I had pretty much nothing going on in the first few days when I started, so that probably helped. I had a lot more time to think and plan. Now I'm constantly worried about something else.

Love the way they look but I've never been a fan of butterfly knives in general. Mechanically that extra half second it takes to get the blade out buy spinning it can make a hug difference compared to grabbing your knife it and extending the blade with minimal thumb pressure(folding) or having it ready to go(fixed blade).

Happy B-day I'm glad your getting something you enjoy.

If I need to get it out quickly, a simple underhand half-circle sets it up in the same amount of time as a folder would take.

It also helps that I don't consider them a defensive item. I collect and handle them. The clicks they make when you flip them are very satisfying. Almost like a stress toy.

AH yes I like collecting knives as well But an important part of that is that there useful. Not so much defensibly but because a quickly drawn blade has on a few occasions saved me some serious injury, if not my life, when getting tangled up in rope/cord while working, moving stuff in the back af a truck, etc... I probably have 6+ knives that sit in a drawer because they where realy quality blades and impulse buys.

I like collection knives with unique handle designs like the multicolored wood or detailed painting's on em. Even some of the fantisy knives that aren't to silly. They look great hanging on my wall AND i could use them in everyday life if i wanted.

Alas though with two young kids there all sitting safely wrapped in a storage shed right now :fluttercry: I'll have to see if I can unpack em and get some picks once winter is done. i miss showing em off to fellow enthusiasts.

I love balisongs the most, though. Just the cool factor mixed with the clicky clacky. I also have a Paramilitary 2 with jade scales that's pretty awesome.

I curse the fact that Balisongs are illegal in new york state. I want one so badly T~T :fluttercry:

I love the laws down here in SC. :derpytongue2:

3701640 a fellow New Yorker!! Ya our state laws blow for a lot of stuff. Haven't checked in a while but what I used to do is send my cousins in PA the money, have them buy it, then wrap it and mail it as a gift. Bypasses the illegal to buy here laws.

Dat second pic ... Drools.

3701849 no family in other states. Granted I only really carry a curved blade scorpion knife barracudastunguns.com/thumbnail.asp?file=assets/images/BC6210.jpg&maxx=300&maxy=0 or a box cutter on me at most times for work/self defense.

Our birthdays are literally 1 day apart... honestly, statistically I shouldn't be surprised.
