The fate of Lemonfresh POLL: · 5:21am Dec 20th, 2015

So a lot of you seem to want her to have karma slap her in the face hard, and honestly I don't mind that.

Here's the thing. Shining, Cadance, Twilight, and Evening won't be messing with her anymore. Yeah she's a monster, but despite Shining saying he wanted her to suffer, now that he's a bit more clear headed, he knows he shouldn't lower himself to her level.

Cadance wants nothing to do with her.

While Twilight might do something, I just don't really see her dropping that low, and well Evening's magic just doesn't work well enough, nor do I see Evening being that kind of guy.

I 'could' have a certain character 'pay her back' so to say, buuuuuuuuut, it involves Evening again.

Basically think something like Zecora going to see her and it turning out Evening saved her long ago or something around those lines, and her basically saying something like: "To me Evening is a dear friend, by hurting him I take offend. I come before you with one clear notion, that food you ate was spiked with a special potion"

Now that's not what I have in mind, but it would hurt her.

So I ask you. Would you be fine with that? Like I said, I know how people take to OCs, and I admit I could have used Starlight or even just Twilight to fix the problem, but I wanted to write a story with Evening Storm, so I did.

The scene I have in mind I don't need to add to the story. I'm contempt with having her just rot in a cell forever, but I'm not against having karma bite her back.

It's just if I do it, this is the way I'd go about it. So I'm asking if you really want that to happen.

Leave a comment letting me know. If I get enough votes to do it, then sure.

But if you'd rather my OC not get any more 'spotlight' or 'favors' I completely understand.

THE POWER IS YOURS!

BURN BABY BURN! Would like to see karma pimp slap her personally

Having ponies rot away in prison for an extended period of time doesn't seem like something they would do. It is very resource inefficient in a land of magic and with redemption and forgiveness a big theme.

I see several ways to handle this, though I think realistically only two will be on the table.

The first is Discord's fate, petrification for a period of time before probation. If you wanted to be mean, it could be equal to the amount of time she had planned for Lowly Servant to exist; the rest of Shining Armor's life. Otherwise, I would say 10-20 years. Enough time that her foals would be much older, if Cadance had them.

The second punishment is to have the Persona spell used on her, and force upon her as life of helping others and being a good pony, such that it would eventually take root as conditioned behavior (which I've always felt was one of these purposes for the spells original creation), seeing that was the fate she planned for Lowly Servant... Except this would be much nicer. The spell would be removed after a period of time, maybe as soon as 5 years, but again she'd be on probation.

Other than that, supposedly Twilight has access to a number of reformation spells, according to the episode where Discord was released.

Her crimes aside, ultimately only 3 months passed so I fail to see ponies equating that with a life sentence. In any event, the sweetest reward would be to have her express genuine regret, and try for redemption.

I don't have much experience dealing with treason but if I were Shining, I'd spend a whole chapter away from Cadence so I can question my marriage in peace :facehoof:

It was three days before he tried talking to her, as written in the chapter.

Though I'm a bit curious as to why that was said. Please don't take this as me being mean, but that has nothing to do with this blog post.

You know what's funny? I seriously thought about having her turned into a filly and made to act like the perfect little daughter, but I fear that the readers would consider that too kind of a thing to give her.

That's hardly a kind fate. There is at least one HiE story where that happens, one via Luna (Child of a Spell). It's portrayed as a horrible fate, to be mine controlled to be another's child.

It'd be a prison in her mind yes, but if she was made Evening's perfect daughter, he'd treat her kindly, and well I'm not sure people want that for Lemonfresh.

The other issue is Evening would know who she really was, and that would make it difficult to be around her.

...Unless I went with the 'idea' I hint at in this blog post. :/

Ooops, please don't mind that comment, that was my thinking before I noticed the new chapter update. Now that I know she's far beyond redemption, here's my vote :

Actually I kinda want that happens, since you're nice enough to write the whole brighter sequel just to save Shining. Punishment or not, I don't wish such fate to fall upon anypony at all, I believe a villain is a victim whose story wasn't told... so yeah, Twilight may not happy about this but I'd love to see more daddy-Evening and his past.

But in all seriousness,
3630849 probably has the right idea.
