I know how this feels and you have my deepest condolences….for me my pets almost all of the time have been like deep family, sometimes more so then my own direct family, and at the same time my muse…..so I hope you take all the time you need to grieve…..

its never easy to lose a pet no matter the reason they are family they are are kids and are companion
Know the feeling, they are our companions, our family n losing them really hurts but as long as ya remember all the good memories ya had they're still with ya
My last 3 cats all lived over 20 years, none of them were in pain, active till nearly the very end.

Not really sure what you are wanting to say with that. That almost sounds like bragging. I'm happy your cats didn't suffer, but mine just died after 12 years and I can't say I'm in the best of mindsets right now.
So sorry to hear that. Take all the time you need, though I assume you were already going to and rightfully so. I should cherish my pet with the time I have left, he's getting a bit old. Sorry for your loss and my condolences to you.
