    Lunar Guardsman update.

New chapter out. The next one is almost ready as well, and another one kinda half-written, and that's the end of the 3rd arc.

New chapter out? What is this mad madness?

So, I just published the latest chapter of The Lunar Guardsman. It only took me two months.

Now, put down the knives and we can talk this out. I do have actual reasons it took me so long! No, just drop them on the ground, don't throw them

I am now without a job. Possible delays in updates incoming.

Well, I've actually been without a job for a week now. I just wanted to make this little announcement (little!) because there might be delays to my rate of posting (if you don't read The Lunar Guardsman or The Twilight Years you may disregard this. Apparently I'm super bad at posting anything other than that, like new stories perhaps, though I am trying to fix that.)

The Lunar Guardsman broke 1k · 4:36pm Dec 10th, 2015

The Lunar Guardsman, my first attempt at writing a story and sticking with it for over a page or two, now has over 1k upvotes! 1.005 to be exact at the time I am typing this. I thank my lucky stars that no one was around at the time I found that out to see me yelling like a japanese schoolgirl and dancing like an epileptic. Or the reverse. It was a very emotional moment and I may have blackened out a bit, and mixed those two up. But there was yelling and dancing.

One thousand upvotes. That means one thousand people that clicked on the little "let him live" emperor's thumb to signify that they liked what they read so far. Of course, you guys know that, but give me a moment. I'm still trying to come up to terms with it. I am having difficulty processing that number, let alone the fact that more people than that read even a small part of the story, or keep reading. It's outstanding for me, that's what it is. One thousand and five people. Dear god, what a number (if any six of you people are considering to change your upvotes to downvotes just to screw with me, let me tell you in advance that would be kind of a dick move. Funny as hell, but dickish.). The Twilight Years also got over 100 upvotes, so yay for that too. If you guys could just see my smile. It's what Joker scars are made of!

I got no idea how large that number is relatively to other stories. Who cares? I got over 1k people who entrust me to entertain them. That's quite the responsibility. Which means, I should get off my butt and take a more active approach to better my writing, rather than just type and type and hope half of what I put out is legible. I've got some Terry Pratchett books in English lying around, maybe I should take a careful read of them and see how a master handles things. Have I even gotten any better as I keep on? My greatest fear at the moment is that everything after chapter 3 suffers in quality cause I took a lot more time in going over those three. God, I hope it isn't so.

What is there that I can say to all of you that encompasses my feelings enough? Thank you? Is that enough? It doesn't feel like it. But it's all I have right now. So I will go with that. Thank you for your time, your support, your comments. It means the world to me.

I love ya guys!

Tearing like a little bitch,
Crimmar

Hey its a really great story with a lot of potential. You can make one of FimFictions better fanfics (given that something completely horrible doesn't happen to the story, or you for that matter). But to be honest your going in a great direction that just might need some adjusting in certain areas, but I'm sure your aware of that already.

Anyways the only complaint I have so far is that Raegdan (I think its spelled like that) and Luna seem unnecessarily impulsive, but that just may be because I don't know the whole situation yet, but other than that your writing style is good enough but as I always say "Always seek to improve yourself, so that others may follow".

I'm going to be gladly following your story and am looking forward to more Lunar Guardsman. Keep up the good work! :pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy:

When will be new chapter?

You most certainly earned it

Congratulations with 1000 milestone. You really deserve it

Congratulations! Keep up the good work!

You deserved it, you are an amazing and talented writer, and this being your first real story just shows that. I do hope to see more stories, hopefully something with the Pie sisters.

Congrats on passing 1K. You definitely deserve it.
And as far as writers to look up to, you can't get much better than Terry Pratchett. I think you'll really enjoy them.
And remember, it could be worse. Someone could have seen you dancing like Twilight!!! :pinkiegasp::pinkiehappy::rainbowlaugh:

No, thank you for the great fic. It's an HiE that doesn't suck!

It's a dark/Lunangst story that has action, comedy and variety without either wallowing in purple self-pity prose or breaking the generally dark tone (to phrase it less awkwardly: you insert much-needed comedy and variety in a way that isn't jarring and doesn't detract from the overall tone of the story). In fact, I'm getting strong LoTR vibes from it at times, minus the adventure bits and the entire world being doomed. In short, it's dark without being over-edgy. Gah, I'm rambling.

Anyway, you have a good story, with good pacing, excellent prose, good characters... And you output 10k+ chapters on a regular basis! What more could one ask for?

Depending on how the story goes on, you could have a good shot at replacing my current absolute favourite story on the site. I know it probably doesn't mean a lot to you coming from just one random guy, but it does mean a lot to me.

Twilight: "There is a pun somewhere about this and I know Pinkie set this up for you..."

Congrats me bucko.

Man, this is my favorite recent fic on the site BY FAR! The prose in the prologue alone made everyone stop and stare lol.

It's ridiculously ultra-violent, but it "fits" and the disconnect as you watch a desensitized Twilight rationalize his bloodlust is great. It's gore with a purpose and some degree of deconstruction.

(Personally, I think Raegdan likes babies and animals for the same reasons Tony Soprano did - it's a way to compartmentalize what a sociopathic dick you are.) :ajsmug:

The world-building is great too, particularly with the latest reveal about the Solar Guard being uhhhhh Celestia Jihadists lol. Excellent depiction of a troubled, isolated Luna too. The interlude chapter was heartbreaking.
