It makes the story more immersive, but it makes things a little more difficult if you're reading on mobile.

All that aside, I'm for them.

personally i like the lyrics to be put into the story as well as the song link this way if the character is doing anything during the song i can get a since of what is happening when during the song. this brings with it the problem of judging how much text is too much text at each action paragraph, but if you can find a good balance it can a really powerful read.

I prefer if they are in a form of links rather than embedded videos, As These latter do not work well on mobile.
But as for the music generally, it is always appreciated, and can be a way for the author to share his/hers emotions about particular part of the story.

3590557 Since some time ago, The fimfic has a stupid rule, which forbids putting song lyrics into the story. I do not really understand it and it seems stupid, but apparently the mods do not want those for some legal rules...

3591660 To be honest, In my opinion changing one word in the song would make it different song, so I think this rule is ridiculus, but by knowledge may be outdated, You'd have to ask the mods or approvers about any details.

I'm neutral to them since I tend to read faster then the scene it was intended for. But when they do put good music I always like to have em around.
