Quill & Blade December Update! · 3:14pm Nov 29th, 2015
Hello readers!
I hope you all had a lovely American Thanksgiving! We did here at Quill & Blade for sure. Now that December is upon us it is time to discuss something important: vacation and scheduling! Crystal and I want to make sure you're all in the loop. Danger: Spoilers below the line.
November 30 - December 3 - End of Wishes
This week we will follow our normal schedule with the wedding extravaganza. Both Secrets and Wishes will feature two chapters each showing the wedding of our respective protagonists.
When the Wishes chapter ends on Thursday so will that story. It has been an amazing ride and we thank you for staying with us.
December 7 - December 11 - Vacation
Crystal and I are actually taking a vacation. A real one. No work, no cold weather, no parrot, and no deadlines. There will not be any updates for any stories during this time.
December 14 - December 18 - Side Stories / Secrets
Crystal will be focusing on Velveteen Mask, Lovey Dovey, and potentially Horsey.
I will be releasing chapters 51 and 52 of Secrets.
December 21 - December 25 - End of Secrets / Vacation
Chapters 53 and 54 will conclude Secrets of a Royal Guard. These will be queued up and prepared in advance (as normal).
Beyond that we'll also be on vacation this week. There will be no other updates this week.
The Future
Silent Knight's and Crystal Wishes's mainline stories will be on hiatus for a brief period of time while Crystal and I plan. We'll be doing updates in the form of side stories.
I'll be launching Sunny's Days.
Patreon Cameos will be fit as best we can but may be lax in December. We hope you understand. Thank you all for being amazing readers and supporters. We hope you have a lovely holiday and look forward to sharing the conclusions to our stories with you this holiday season.

hey, you do what you gotta do! personally I think you should have more vacationing, like Europe or something awesome like that but that's just me.

It feels like you both don't understand what being a fanfiction author is all about. Where are the unannounced month or even year long hiatuses?
Don't get to into your recreation of the Crystal Empire that you dash out into the snow in only a scarf and snazzy snowglasses.
Ok, so I would love to see Sekrets and Wishes continuation to be one story with chapters of perspective of eather SK or CW. Or a mixed narration between the two.
Also - Dayuum! The wedding is near, gonna get my suit fast! Why can't I restrain my own thoughts? Meh.
So Secrets and Wishes are ending this month... Always a bittersweet feeling when a great story/ies ends (even if sequels are planned).

So very sad that they're ending. But these have been such phenomenal stories. And the best stories leave you wanting more in the right way after all. So to you both I say bravo on what has come thus far, cheers to the now, and good luck to the future! I'll still be here reading.
