A Sneak Preview of Coming Attractions (SPOILERS) · 5:27am Oct 31st, 2015

Happy Nightmare Night one and all! Those of you paying close attention might have noticed a pattern in the big adventure plot stories of Dashverse. If not, allow me to let you all in:
"Rainbooms and Royalty" occurs in Summer, celebrates the Summer Sun Celebration and features Nightmare Moon.
"Hot Heads, Cold Hearts and Nerves of Steel" occurs in Winter, celebrates Hearth's Warming Eve and features King Sombra.
"Wedding Bells Bug Hunt" occurs in Spring, celebrates Hearts and Hooves Day and features Queen Chrysalis
"Title to Be Determined" occurs in Autumn, celebrates Nightmare Night and features...you'll see.
If you're going to comment on the out of order holidays--well, just look at what the show did in Season 1 and as well as just last week. Anyways, it was my hope to release this story on Halloween but things got in the way and there were other stories that needed to be told before this one, so I couldn't pull it off. While my immediate focus in the next period will be on a handful of slice of life stories to flesh out the Dashverse and its characters, I still feel like giving my loyal readers and reviewers a little Halloween treat...or is it a trick?
There is no going back from here. If you do read on, please do not leave any comments referring to what you've read here in my other stories or posts. No sense ruining it for others who don't like spoilers.

“YES!!!” A loud voice boomed, knocking the two guards on to their backs. The statue pulled its feet off the pedestal and with a large stretch, shattered the rest of its stone covering.
The guards coughed, covering their faces with their wings as they were pelted with small pebbles and rock dust. After the dust had dissipated, they looked to the source of the disturbance.
“After 10,000 years I’m free! It’s time to conquer…” he stopped. “Huh, that really does sound cliché, doesn’t it? I guess I should give her a call to warn her about that.” He rested his elongated face in his lion paw, a lone talon tapping against the side of his face, apparently deep in thought. “Naaah.”
Despite his amazement and surprise, Steelwing rallied. “H-hold it right there monster!”
“Hm? A monster? Where?” The odd thing twirled this way and that, its long body forming a figure eight as it curved continuously upon itself.
“Stop that!” Silver shouted. “Identify yourself!”
The creature stopped. “Really? You’re really asking me who I am? Me?” He groaned and slapped his head. “Ugh, you could wait another hundred thousand years and Celly would still be Celly: never tells anyone anything.” He twirled his talon in midair, suddenly holding a card. “My card…” With a flick of the wrist he sent it down to the ground, slicing the tip off Silver Lining’s spear as it thudded against Steelwing’s armor, embedding itself in it.
“Guards! We need back up!” Steelwing barked loudly as the two fell back. He extricated the card from his armor and examined it. “Discord: Spirit of Disharmony, Chaos Bringer, Conquer of Equestria and Lord of the Dance.”
It was with no small relief that the pair saw a squad of their fellow Guardponies running over. “Hurry!” Steelwing barked. “We have a monster on the loose!”
Discord crossed his arms and sulked. “Again with the monster thing … listen you, I’m a draconequus, thank you very much! Do you see any hydras or cockatrices going around being the lord of chaos? No? Didn’t think so. I’m a buck-mothering draconequus and deserve to be called such.”
“We’re warning you—stand down and surrender or else!” Steelwing nodded to his companions, who readied their spears.
Unperturbed in the slightest, Discord stroked his beard. “‘Or else.’ Funny, that’s what everyone always says about me.” He shrugged. “Oh well.”
Growling, Steelwing beckoned his companions forward with a hoof. “Attack!” A barrage of spears sailed forward on the draconequus.
Discord snapped his fingers and turned the spears into winged sticks of butter. He snatched one out of the air and bit into it. “Hmm, delicious! I know it’ll go straight to my hips, but darn it, I don’t care!”
The confused looking guards glanced at one another. Once he was finished, Discord turned back to them. “Now then…” he grinned toothily as his eyes flashed yellow again. “It’s show time!”
Discord casually strolled through the royal gardens, knowing it wouldn’t be long before Celestia realized he was up and about. “Ah, to be young and free! Well, to be free anyway.”
His gaze fell on Canterlot Castle and felt a sudden impulse.
The castle’s white on the mountain tonight
Not a flaw (yuck) to be seen
A kingdom of har-mon-ee--
but I'm sure not the queen!
They’ll soon be howling, as they tremble, run, and hide.
Couldn't keep me in, heaven knows they tried!
I'll break them in, make them see--
be the free mares they were made to be.
Been so long, I'll won't let them go
And soon they'll know!

I don't know about this story. Also the last one about the wedding..... yeah not a big fan of it either really. I tried but I can't really bring myself to FULLY enjoy it.
Oh my, this will certainly be a nasty one considering the end of the last story.
Great, Big Daddy is back and the Elements are in disarray. Ah, well. Nothing like the fire to burn away animosity.
Hoping he gets some help from his "buddy" Smooze, because that would just be fun...
