New Story, and Associated Activities

This is just a general update to let everyone know what's going on. As expected, I've been much more busy due to work at Uni (which is awesome, btw, so feel free to be jealous), and I've been even more busy reviewing all seven contest entries for the Anachronistic Stories contest, which has meant that I've slowed down on the Goodfic Bin reviews considerably. I'm actually in the middle of reading We Are What We Are, and it's looking rather decent, if perhaps a bit dull to my tastes (villains had a traumatic childhood, oh noes!).

Anyways. I firmly intend to launch the next contest for HazMat shortly, so keep an eye out for a cool looking prompt. I think it promises to be damn cool.

And finally, I've not stopped writing either. I have a project that's well underway, even if it's not finished yet, and I recently churned out a tiny little one-shot about not listening to your romantic partner. It's called Blah, Blah, Blah, and I'd appreciate it if you checked it out. I know it's short, but that's part of what makes it a slice of life.

It's also the first story in a long while with coverart I actually drew myself. The last one was Guns 'n Ponies, which came out ages ago. So at the very least, you could check it out to see how much my drawing has (failed to) improve. Yay!

Um, what else? I'm toying with the idea of writing a Big Mac story, especially considering that the latest episode didn't really do much for me. And I'm not talking about him in a dress (which could have been funny if it was handled differently). In fact, it was the first episode in a long while which outright disappointed me. However, I do seem to be in the minority regarding that opinion, so perhaps I'm just overreacting at some mean-spiritedness from Applebloom.

That's it for me. I have to go home and bake myself a pizza.
