Thank you to the handful of people who read the new story. I gotta admit, it was kind of a disappointment, but I guess I expected too much. I'll keep working on it regardless.
Fimfic just ain't what it used to be.

You could say that again. Happened to me, twice now. It used to be easier to get views and comments, now it's like this place is a ghost town. I know it's not, of course, but why does it feel that way?
To be fair, however, people tend to avoid dark and tragedy tagged stories and your story contains both. So, I didn't expect much from my new story either.

It's all stories with cheap laughs and romance, particularly so when said stories are "Short and sweet."
I've... I've a feeling that nobody wants to get invested in longer stories anymore, even less when the story is gritty or somewhere along those lines. Perhaps people just want an easy way to escape the real world, instead of seeing as a character deals with the real world or fights through adversity?
I don't sugarcoat my shit. There is happy, there is also sadness. I like top push the boundaries.
I guess... I guess watching a character explore a dark, dystopian world is too depressive, maybe. Perhaps more so for bronies. The show itself is so happy and colorful, and I guess the way I twist it is just too much.
But where are those that look for this kind of stuff? Do they exist anymore? Stick with me, I'll show you adversity. I'll take you through an entire world where the line between good and bad is very thin.
3405785 I probably don't feel how you do at all, but I have noticed when it comes to everyone, not just bronies, people don't like to deviate from what they like. I like it when genres of things are crossed into each other for, well, anything. Darkness and Ponies can exist, just as FPS and RPG can in games
However, if your story looks like it's not going to be going down a path that can get characters out of their dark plot, then people will assume it never will and may not click on it. If that makes sense?

Understandable, though "... a path that can get characters out of their dark plot... "
Well, I never said any of my stories would end up having a completely dark plot, but I like to juggle the bad and the good.
3405873 No, balance is fine. But perhaps too many people have seen too many stories end badly (dark ending) because the author thinks it's more artistic that way or something like that. I've grown a bit numb to things here, but I'm trying to break free of that. Because a story not being updated used to drive me up the walls, like that place that had been crafted, was real.

I'm all about a satisfying ending, myself.
Ghost town? Nar man this is in my Read Later list but the problem is I've got 753 unread chapters in my fave list and 5586 unread Read Later chapters!
I am sorry for not commenting. I have a tiring work, And A huge amount of stories is poping up. I am unable to read everything. And I often forget to comment. (As I am unable from phone sometimes, and later I forget.)
I'll try to give you longer comment when I finally manage to read the actual chapter (other than introduction.)
