Last of My Kind Was Raised to T for Teen · 10:28pm Sep 6th, 2015
After three days of debating with myself I decided that I'll raise the attended audience to teens. Why? Because a lot of the stuff I'd like to delve into and some of the things that have already happened require me to up the ante.
Another reason is that this story already has cases of nudity, a bit of swearing, and a few other things that have yet to come.
I may also be messing with some of the tags as the story continues (debating if I should add romance or not, what do you guys think?) but that is for a later date.
So what do you guys think? Was this a good choice?
It sounds like a good choice, although I'm somewhat surprised the mods didn't tell you to put the Teen rating there when you submitted it.
3373939 At the time I never said the main character was explicitly nude, nor did I have her say or do anything that could be considered sexual. Like hell chapter three I had her on the ground legs spread with a pony staring at her (the scene when she went to go use the restroom).
Now tell me how that's rated E for everyone

Your call on any romance, but I for one find your fic to be quite splendid as it is. If you do go for it, I would advise plotting it out carefully in advance and working with a couple of people to make sure you can stay clear of the usual HiE clichés. Your already half way there by virtue of your protagonist being a woman. My advice would probably be to leave it out though.
I'd say you could go for the romance. We've learned her preference for women already in the first place, so it wouldn't be like you're shoving it in there out of nowhere.
I'm curious as to whom you'd pair Chloe with in that case, though, since you have Quartz and Crystal (Really liking those OC's, by the way), the Mane six, and since she has her own tag, Twilight in particular as she seems seems like she'll be a big part of the story.
Don't add romance until you've written out the entire relationship in a seperate document.
Trust me, romance is the EASIEST genre to completely fuck up, followed by Comedy, because humor is selective.
3374280 So far humor has yet to fail me.

3374294 I've yet to finish reading Ch.2.
Just remember, female human x Pony romance Isn't *usual.*
It may attract viewers, but search yourself; Do you want to do It?
3374417 Personally I think it would make an interesting concept. I don't plan on doing it immediately possibly further down the story 3/4ths mark maybe.
It could open up many door ways. Now what I'm thinking is if I do it should it be one of the two OCs, Twilight, or one of the other mane 6 ponies?
3374520 I don't know Twilight's/M6's role in all this yet and how their interactions are; so at the current time I would have to say one of the OC's. As far as tags go, add them as the story progresses. If you find that the story needs a tag then it gets added. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
I think its a good idea that youve upped the rateing

No my good, sir, I believe the proper wording is "Upped the ante"
Makes it sound fancier if I do say so myself.
a fine idea lord Immortan!
Better safe then sorry, I say. Having your story slip into uncharted waters can happen faster than you might think (and I speak from expierence here^^°).
Should you had romance? Oooh, that´s a tricky one. If you do, make sure you have a very good idea what you wanna do. Sappy romance, silly romance, odd romance, classical romance, tragic romance etc. can really bite you in the ass if you don´t have at least 95% of it planned out (again, own expierence).
So far, the story is solid, the characters are not over the top and I like the tid-bits of humor regarding female human anatomy.^^b
3374520 OCs.
Always, always OCs, or not-very-popular background ponies.
Mane Six shipping has been done to death a million times over just in the past year, people probably don't want to see more, not to mention how easy It'll be for you to fuck up characterization, or cause arguments because people portray the characters differently.
