How long has it been? · 4:38pm Nov 7th, 2023
I don't even recall the last time I dusted off this profile. It's been a while. I came on today after cleaning out my email to see if I was still getting notifications from this site. To see that they're still people who are reading my work is heartwarming.
Any of you who still hang around here are probably wondering what happened to me. It was a combination of things: burnout and criticism. Getting "popular" too quickly Back when I started Fimfiction during my brony days, I simply saw this site as a creative outlet and wrote what I wrote for the hell of it. It wasn't until Lazarus and the Butler that I attempted to try my hand at something more focused. In both stories, I focused heavily more on the humans than the MLP characters, as, in all reality, that's what I cared for the most.
To say I was shocked when I went to bed the first night of posting Lazarus only to wake up on the front page for a week straight was astounding. It was really intoxicating. To think that people enjoyed my funky little Isekai stories was amazing. So I did what other young writers do. I wrote. A lot. Yet quickly this became a mistake, the reason being that I didn't pace myself, and as the stories continued and the criticism mounted, I broke under the pressure.
I tried to handle much of the criticism, but my low self-esteem and weak will broke.
Fast forward to now, though: much older, graduated, and working a decent middle-income office job. I see that much of the critics, while some are harsh, were not as bad as my poor mental health self-took them. For that, I apologize to all of you who looked forward to my stories from a bygone past, and I hope this brings some closure to the lurkers who still poke around here.
Do I ever plan on continuing the stories I never finished? I personally am not really a brony anymore. I still like MLP and everything it has brought to me in my young life, but I never really interact with the fan base anymore. Though I won't say there will never be a day,
Do I still write? Yes, I do! I actually just started posting again online to Watpadd:
The Other Side - Immortan JoJo - Wattpad
It's a self-indulgent Isekai story I'm writing set in one of my own fictional universes. It isn't Lazarus or anything, but if you liked my old work, I hope you guys take a look at something more recent of mine.
Oh my gosh! I missed you! I thought you were done forever, gone like so many others.
Hope to see hear more from you.

For sure! I don't think I'll keep any promises that'll be on Fimfiction much, though if you want to read more of my stuff. The Wattpad I have listed is there.
would you take payment per chapter to continue Lazarus?
Welcome back!

I appreciate the gesture, but I don't know how I would feel about taking money for writing fanfiction! 😅
Either way, it's always nice to see someone stop by again. Wishing you the best! :)

Well, if it helps, some of the fimfiction legends like Starscribe do it...

I'll have to consider it; I've never done anything like it before. So, I'll need to work out the logistics of it.
Well, I'm just happy to see you're still alive. Loved your work back then (still love em now). Might check out your Wattpad story. I hope everything continues going well for you.
