What is not happening tonight · 3:03am Aug 30th, 2015
Writing is not happening tonight. No doubt that some of you know that I reside in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. No doubt also that some of you, likely those who live in the Pacific Northwest know that at least 3 million of us do not have electricity right now.
I mean, some residences still do, and oddly, so does the Starbucks down the street. But that's neither here nor there, because my computer does not have power, and my computer contains all of my everything.
My stories are on there. As are all of my notes, storyboards (what few I have), profiles, cover art, etc. And since I'm not particularly inclined to trust Google, or DropBox or Evernote or even iCloud with all that information, welp!
But I did do some rough story boarding for A Matter of Interest. The current hang-up there is that I ended up scraping almost half of the next chapter. Because I'd written it almost two years ago, and my voice has changed since then. I haven't rewritten anything yet, but I at least have an idea of what I want to do and how I want the chapter to progress, along with the rest of the story.
This does mean that I will have to go back to previous chapters and rework some sections of them. As it turns out, this story will not be about the Prince or about Second Glance; somehow, both of them have become supporting roles, with Tollens as the primary protagonist, so I need to account for that.
It also means that if you'd like to volunteer as a reader for the reworked sections, please speak up. And note that by "reader," I mean seriously reading it so I can be sure I don't wreck the narrative flow.
Given all the work I've already put into this, not to mention known ongoing interest, to not even rate a PM requesting participation... *tch*

You're basically staff. You being part of this without sending an invite was kind of a foregone conclusion for me.
Foregone as in, "This will be kind of a big project, even with nightwalker helping. Maybe I should get us an intern...."

Hurm... Well, would seem the internal memo for this got lost in the interdepartmental mail then. Just a bit offputting to find out via press release.
Indeed, interns and coffee, and other such things.
