So i got a chance to play the pony mmorpg that has been in development for quite some time (fan made) and it was pretty fun! I hadn't caught one of the open server events in a long time so it was cool to see how far they've come along. The game is still mostly unfinished, so there wasn't much to do, (the battle system was still very unfinished and hard to control... as you will see below xD) but it was cool to see a lot of areas finished!
Here are some pictures and Vids of me playing! (Fun fact, the first OC i ever created was not Calm Wind, it was actually Blazetail! 
I used him when i took part in a server test two years ago, but now i was able to use calm! ^_^)

There was also a short even where some people from EQD were in Sugar Cube Corner. I didn't make it in time to be in the screens, but the party kept going after xD
All in all, while unfinished, it was really fun to explore Equestria as Calm Wind 
The servers will be open until tonight (i think) so if you want to try it out, you may still have a chance. Keep an eye on their website from time to time, they always give out an announcement whenever they are opening the servers for testing

It was fun and all but this game still seems lack basic mmo functions like shortcuts for the map and a fullscreen version of it can't tell you how many times I got lost in ponydale
Not to mention my quest log was not keeping track of my quests so i had to rely on my shitty memory
This game has a lot of potential but the fact that it has all these issues still after two years in development makes me worry for its future
I just got that game, but I'm seriously terrible at it.
I only managed to play it once, and even then it kept disconnecting me, only to wait another 5 minutes in the connection queue.. and since then i keep missing it opening since no one notifies me, lol.

I was derping around as Daring-Do for the first two days.
Heh, I couldn't find my way around through anywhere in the game, but I did make Rivet, and flying was cool. I would have really. appreciated a map function though
Can't wait for the whole thing to be done.

You can download it from here — but there's probably no point now since the open server weekend finishes sometime tonight.
As for the game itself, I found it to be a less than enjoyable experience on account of all the problems I had while playing. There are a lot of bugs, tons of lag and some basic features (well, I consider them to be basic; you may or may not agree with me) are missing.

WEll, the open serve weekend is done. I partied as Daring Do for most of it, made lots of friends :3 Too bad I missed Calm!
I got kicked out at the last 5 minutes because I was begging the moderators to play Smile HD on the radio by spamming chat.
A few questions/comments.
1) Most important of all. WHERE HAS THIS BEEN HIDING? I CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING MORE AMAZING FOR THE FANDOM TO HAVE MADE!!!
Now that the fangasm is over for the time being, on to the real questions and comments.
2) How often do they do these play tests? I want to know when the next one is. I need to make my OC Ghost Story.
3) Why no bat ponies? Is a pegasus wing/eye mod that hard? My OC is incomplete without the wings.
4) This game looks freaking amazing, I want to know what all parts of equestria they've made so far.
5) Most puzzling of all, does Hasbro know of this? You would think they would have found out especially if the game is this far along.
If anyone has the answers to some or all of these please let me know.

2.) You really have to pay attention to their webpage, they never really have a fixed schedule for the tests, this is only the second time i've played, the last time was over two years ago
I only knew this one was happening because someone mentioned it in my minecraft realm the week before 
3.) The game is still very incomplete, they may be adding that stuff in the future, but the character creation was limited to basics. I was just lucky, the mane selection was limited, but they had one that looked close enough for Calm. They also happened to have a white feather for a cutie mark
4.) I tried to show a little bit of everything. The completed areas are: Ponyville (including the ability to enter Sweet apple acres, the golden oaks library, carousel boutique, and sugar cube corner), Canterlot, Cloudsdale, The crystal empire (Including the ability to enter the crystal palace, and the equestria games stadium), Everfree Forest, a large open area called the Heartlands, and a gem mine.
5.) Well, this is a fan game, it's not going to be sold for money or anything. Plus, all the areas are actually renamed to pretty much ensure that hasbro doesn't even have the slightest bit of reason to raise issue (such as Ponyvile being named Ponydale)

3326949 You are quite right about the mane selection being limited. I was able to try the pony creator and it leaves much to be desired, the pony creator by generalzoi and the 3d one on ponylumen.net are far better in terms of variety. But all and all from what I've seen via youtube it's still fantastic. But I do still hope they get around to the three lesser known but still cannon races bat ponies, crystal ponies, and sea ponies although they have yet to be seen show wise, they have been confirmed as cannon.
