Right, don't get too excited. This is a 3700 word chapter that was originally going to be part of chapter 5, but I opted to cut it out as I felt it would have disrupted the overall tone and feel of chapter 5 (well, to be honest, it was also partly because I wasn't happy with it and didn't want to trouble the editors with yet another rewrite. I put them through enough already.)
So as you all know, our good editors Not a Hat and Brad The Brony have already worked hard on Chapter 5 so no promises on how soon the new chapter will be up. You can cheer them on with a follow, and while you wait you can always take a gander at Not a Hat's excellent repertoire of fics.
In the mean time, chapter 7 is already in progress. As some of you may know, I originally planned for 7 chapters. I will be extending this to at least 8 to accommodate the split in chapter 5.
Considering how little time has passed since the last chapter, a shorter chapter isn't too big of an issue. Even if didn't come out anytime soon, I'm loving this story enough that I doubt I'd care. As long as I don't have to wait in periods of half-years, I'm fine.
