Hi all! So I'm putting this question out there while the story's (hopefully?) still fresh in your minds. But before we get to that, allow me to mention a few things:
First of all, yes, I am very much considering making this a series of short stories, as suggested by all the plot hooks I left lying around (totally not following in my favourite author's footsteps, nope).
Secondly, if I do end up writing this, I will FINISH it first before I post it. I have left too many stories unfinished, a reflection of how poor I am as a planner and a writer. I will endeavour to not start new stories unless they are complete at the time of publication, as I did with 'Do Humans Hibernate?'. This means it's gonna take a while. 'Do Humans Hibernate' took two months of on-and-off work in between working on How To Raise Your Moon, and this sequel might take even longer.
Thirdly, I realize the quality of my writing in 'Do Humans Hibernate' sucked balls. While I'm happy with the story and characters, I am not pleased with the quality of the bare-bones narrative, which was mostly a result of the circumstances around which this story was conceived (see my previous blog posts on the reason if you're interested). Rest assured the sequel will feature better quality narrative.
Fourthly and very importantly, I do plan to continue writing my old stories, no doubts about that.
And lastly, I'm putting this out to you all to get a feel for what people would like to see/expect in the sequel, but I apologize in advance, I make no promises I will include all the suggestions put forwards.

So I've already made allusions as to where the series is going. Yes, I plan to explore herding as a way of life. I love family, a pretty big running theme in all my stories, and the bigger the better. So exploring herds and the families and society built around that principle will be one of many key themes to any upcoming sequels.
So without spoiling too much, I've decided the next short story is going to be all about Twilight. That said, now I invite you all to share with me any thoughts, ideas, things you'd like to see, etc. As said, I make absolutely no promises I'll do X, Y or Z, and this story will take months to come to fruition at the very least, but if your idea makes it into the story I'll be sure to credit you. Typically the first step to making a sequel is to include the original characters in some form or another. I'd suggest doing that.
If you start the story off at the other end of the galaxy, three million years in the future, I'm gonna flip a table.

4029275 Well, I do believe you can make a story out of any context.
I would like the story to have any clop stuff posted on a side story, or chapters with warnings of clop, like you did with this one.

Well, I have a couple of suggestions...
Maybe you could show a Flashback of the first time Twilight meet Marshall
Or about how is she trying to stop Cloudsdale to do anything to Rainbow
And a couple of scenes as Twilight check Rainbow and Marshall and what does she think.
Also, you could show other POW from around. Like for example Scootaloo, as RD is her hero, what does she think of Marshall or how is he with the CMC

I think you should go with what you feel best even though i appreciate you asking us. Just need to point out but hope this doesn't turn into the beginning of never ending sequels. Too many authors here milk their good series.
As for what to write i think you left plenty of plot openings for yourself to write about. Simply choose which one to do
Im excited since i really enjoyed the last story you released. It was really well done.
I think I like the idea of initiating a herd plot line. If you have any characters in mind for such an idea I'd love to see how they turn out. Herding is a great way to build bigger and longer lasting plot lines because there are more characters involved. So if Marshall were to meet another nice filly...or if RD had another stallion in mind (XD that could make for some good comedy from Marshall) then I'd love to see how you'd bring that to life.
Best of luck man, I've loved all your work so far, your writing style is definitely unique and I love the incorporation of all the well known and loved references and hilariously abstract innuendo. I am truly looking forward to this sequel.
I kinda want some more info on the size difference. The pictures of a human holding RD, is that accurate for this story? If so, there would be no way he could easily walk into any pony place, he would have to crawl into sugarcube corner. I think a bit of comedy could've come about from him being slightly too big for a pony town.
I thought your quality of writing was great. I mean better than mine. Half the stuff you do makes me burst out laughing (which doesn't make my roommate happy) but yes I would love a sequel and of course twilight would be a fun addition to the herd but if you could... The thunder pony yknow the green one (whatever her name was excuse my ignorance) would also be a fine addition as well but If you don't wanna I'm fine with it I just enjoy your writing.
