    TerraForming: Day 7

Wrote ~2500 words, completed a chapter, but I'm not completely happy about it. I'm going to take another day to figure out why it makes me unhappy. I lost about 800 words to a stupid mistake on my part and the chapter diverged slightly from what I had originally written, so my unhappiness probably lies there.

    TerraForming: Day 6

I went to a baseball game which lasted far longer than it had any right to, so I wasn't able to write anything today. As per my promise, I'll spend tomorrow updating a story. However, in order to appease the gods, I've dug into my plethora of unfinished stories and found one to share for those who wish to read it.

    Terraforming: Day 5

I've got an hour and a half to write this out. Would have started earlier, but Critical Role streams on Thursdays and I am a sucker for Dungeons and Dragons.

    Prompt: Firsts (suggested by Auramane)

[Slice of Life] [Canon to the First Meeting/First Impressions Universe]

    Terraforming: Day 3

No short story today, but I managed to write 1300 words of a new chapter, so I hope to update in another day or two. Just an update to keep track of what I'm doing. I don't know. Ask me something if you want. Or don't. Seriously, why are you even reading this, it's barely 50 words long.

TerraForming: Day 1 · 5:18am Aug 10th, 2015

Writing is hard. Wait, no. That's a lie. Continuous writing is hard. I am more than capable of sitting down at my laptop and typing out a few hundred words. I am also more than capable of going multiple weeks without adding a single letter to one of my stories. Does that make me a terrible person? No, of course not. There are many things in my life that take precedent over my scribblings about kissy pones or whatever it is I write about. It would be a different story if I was making any kind of money from my stories, but I refuse to even set up a Patreon because that's responsibility and holy shit responsibility is terrifying. The thing is, I like writing stories and, even more than that, I like reading comments left on those stories or on my blogs or on my user page or whatever! I like interacting with the people on this site. It makes me happy. And I like being happy.

Of course, my last blog update was half a year ago and I've basically been saying the same thing, so this all kind of sounds like bullshit on my part. No one knows that better than I do and, quite frankly, the only reason I would still be follow a writer with my productivity is because A) He's putting out professional-level stuff or B) I forgot that he existed, and I know that I'm not putting out professional-level stuff, so Hi! I'm Terra. I used to write kissy pones. They were cute sometimes.

In any case, this blog post and subsequent series of blog posts is an attempt to fix that. It takes 21 days to form a habit, that means 21 days of writing something, preferably something pony-related, but anything helps. I can't say that I'll be churning out chapters everyday (though I used to do that now that I think about it, holy shit, what was wrong with me?), but something will be coming out. Blog posts about progress, short stories, chapter updates. I plan on keeping this up for 21 days straight despite the fact that I fly back to Boston in 15 days. Should I fail to update on one day, I'll force myself to write a whole new chapter of some story.

So decrees Terra, so it shall be.

Have a Tavi!

What a cutie.

(Also, if anyone wants to leave a prompt for a possible short story or wants to direct me to a group that does that, please leave it in the comments.)

Just when I think you're dead, you aren't! Such a trickster, Terra!

But yes, horsewords are good. Writing them is even better. Glad that you're making an entrance back into the wheel of insanity!

Edit: You should name this series of blogs "Terraforming."

dat Tavi pic tho

But yeah go write, we need more of your amazing Octascratches!

That is an inspired title. I'm in love with it.

I follow you because who needs professional when you have organic. Your stories have never felt forced at the character level I really enjoy your stories. The only reason I don't always comment is because my net access is intermittent. Heck the only way for me to have read as many Fics as I have is due to the ability to download. That means sometimes I've read through everything updated and left waiting for the next chance. When that happens I go back to my archive and reread my absolute favorites. Yours dear author are some of the ones reread the most, and when I finish I bite my lower lip in giddy anticipation for your next chapter or new story. So never wonder, Terrasora, if you have been forgotten for you have not. This Follower shall ever look to and for your works and postings. Should you ever need more reassurance I shall again respond that I watch and wait. If you ever question why I keep vigil ask, the response will come whether it takes days or months. ...hmm...:twilightsheepish: Seems I've rambled excuse me. *Bow Left Exit Right*:trixieshiftright:

*pops back in*:derpyderp2:Oh my prompt. Werewolf Octavia:twilightsmile:

Hmm... a story prompt.

I once had an idea that dealt with the origins of Discord, and could be resolved in a single chapter. Basically, it's about him seeking out Celestia and talking to her, telling her that he does not wish to live anymore, and that his changing everything on his chaotic rampages was simply him trying to deal with the crippling loneliness of being an immortal deity.

Maybe you like it... maybe you don't. I can at least hope that it will inspire you to something :derpytongue2:

He lives! Commence huzzahing at once!

As for story prompts, I had an idea once where Twilight gets bored one day after being an immortal alicorn has given her time to do everything she can think of that she's wanted to do, so Discord gives her a book of his own writings called '1001 things for an immortal to do when they become bored of immortality'. Hilarity ensues as they work their way through the book

This blog post was a cutie!

Good to see you writing, Terra! I really do like your stuff, so I guess I fall into the former of the two groups of why I'm still following you. Because of that, I'm happy to see that you're planning on writing more.

Lovely to see you writing again, darling. :raritystarry: :raritywink:
I have a story prompt, but I must warn: As of yet, I can't figure out any possible plot or conflict for it to center around. Oh well.

Prompt starts here: We've seen the Wonderbolts, we've seen the Canterlot high society, we've seen Vinyl Scratch and we've seen the ensemble the famed Octavia plays in... but what about other celebrities? Like, say, rock bands?

Write a story about a pony rockband! The thrills of the stage, the tales of wrecked hotel rooms, the hidden downsides of having a Griffon guitarist, and so much more!

3310254 having a griffin guitarist is just an excuse to write him like ozzy ozborn (eating bats on stage) now it needs to be a thing.

3310475
Just imagine: Griffon guitarist, earth pony vocalist, unicorn key-tar player, pegasus bassist, and bat pony drummer, and maybe even a Changeling backup singer.

3310767
No. This is a rockband, not Justin Bieber.

3311341 I was thinking more Foreign singer but whatever (doeisn't) work
