    The Shadow of a Doubt

    Hi guys!

Okay, long story short, I realise I've been pretty useless these last few months in terms of actually putting out fresh poni-words. However, I've finally gotten back on the horse dammit gotten back to the keyboard and finished up that one-shot I've been talking about for years.

Not-deadness, new stories and rusty turnips.

    Hey guys,

I'm back, in typical Ardensfax fashion, a month too late with a pack of excuses. I'll simply say this, however; screw exams. Screw exams in every available orifice with a rusty turnip. Okay, I think I got that out of my system; basically, exams are over, things are easing off a little, and story stirrings are happening. Assuming anyone's still here.

In Her Blood - Possible Hiatus

    'Ello.

First off, to those of you following In Her Blood, an apology and a reassurance: For the apology, yes, there's a good chance that IHB will be going on hiatus for a little while. For the reassurance, I'm not losing interest in writing it (by any stretch of the imagination), and it should be back in just over a month.

The Final Curtain. · 9:31pm Jul 28th, 2012

Well then, that's it. A Bluebird's Song is complete.

Amusingly enough, it was originally planned to run for about five-or-six chapters and be done with in about three weeks. I designed it as my first attempt at story-writing on any kind of multi-chapter scale, and thought I'd get past it and onto bigger things pretty fast. Seven months and 200,000 words later, it turns out I was very wrong indeed.

Most importantly, ridiculously huge thanks to everyone who's read the story, given me feedback, rated, and given me well-deserved kicks up the backside when I've done stupid things. To those of you who've stuck with it and read the whole thing, I tip my hat to you. It's incredibly gratifying to know that people are willing to read a piece of writing which essentially comes to the length of a longish novel. You people are far more generous with your time than I have any right to expect, so thank you once again.

Also, special mention must go to Furor1 and NyuuChanDiannePie for drawing such amazing pieces of fanart for this story, and by doing so helping to bring it to life. If you've not already checked out their DA pages, please do so. Particularly if you're as much of a pony-shipper as I am.

To cut a long story short, thank you. It's been an amazing few months, and I hope you've enjoyed reading A Bluebird's Song as much as I've enjoyed writing it.

You guys are, as always, awesome.

I'm sad to see this story end, but damn if it wasn't a good run. I look forward to seeing what you come up with next!

Thank you Ardensfax for one of the best ship-fics I've ever read.

when you get me reacting emotionally to a story, then I can tell when it's good. and I've done it plenty of times during this story .

Thank you for taking the time and effort to make such a great fic, I can't wait to see what you write next

I'll get around to reading and commenting soon.

Never will there be a better romance in my opinion. I thank YOU for sticking to this project for seven months and making us proud

P.S. Your in the featured box again :pinkiehappy:

Boy, i can´t wait for the art for the last chapter.
Especially that half-kiss between Twi and Dash is something i look forward drawn into a picture.

Thank you again for writing such an incredible story. <3

Though just once i´d like to read a fic in which Twilight Sparkle is the one to propose to Rainbow Dash. Somehow its always Dash who asks Twi if she wants to marry her. Maybe you could write such a story next time~ *hint hint*

Your story was definitely worth the read, I only wish i could explain better how wonderful and amazing piece of work I think it is. I've always been terrible at putting things into words but simply, this story gave me a smile every single time i opened a new chapter, waiting to see what happened next, hoping for an explanation to a cliffhanger from last chapter, etc. I am pleased i was able to read this and like most, sad to see it end but it ended wonderfully. Long live TwiDash and Ardensfax! I offer you a big brohoof for the greatness that is and always shall be A Bluebird's Song.:pinkiehappy:

*sneaks off, having read almost none of the fic yet* :twilightblush:

If I could draw, I might have well had for it. But alas, I have no such talents.

Thanks for your effort, once again.

I have to say that under normal circumstances, I don't actively search out TwiDash or RariShy stories, not because I have anything against them in particular, just because my favorite ship is RainbowShy. That being said, I saw a picture on deviantART that was inspired by this story: http://nyuuchandiannepie.deviantart.com/art/This-Longest-Night-306893214. For some reason, it really affected me, and I knew that I had to read the story that had inspired it. This is one of the best stories I have ever read, My Little Pony or otherwise, and I really have no way to adequately describe it or my feelings right now after having just finished it.

I figured I was gonna be really sad when this fic ended. It has become one of the focal points of all my love for TwiDash and even good story telling, however here at the end I find myself smiling at just having been able to read it in the first place and enjoyed the ride through to it's conclusion. It's truly been a great joy for me to have been able to read this fic and I just want to thank you for all the effort and time you put into making it. I look forward to any future writings you might make.

It's been a fun journey... now if you'll excuse me, I believe I'm gonna go be sad for a bit.:rainbowkiss:

must say with stories like that i will always be a fan of ponys the show is awsome but its pepoel like you that make it worth following.Big thumbs up.:yay:
