Okay! God! I'll review the damn thing! Apparently there's some sort of rule in place saying that you have to do it. I didn't watch it until this morning, and I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pretty amazed at how much butthurt there was (amongst all the squealing and spoilers.)
I've always been impressed by how much butthurt this show can generate in such a small span of time.
Anyway, I just watched it. Repeatedly. And, well, words mostly fail me, so I'll communicate in my favorite way. Reaction images!

In all seriousness, I am pretty amazed at what we got this week. They've obviously been paying attention to the fandom, and it's rather awesome that they were willing to devote an entire episode to making a lot of the popular fanon as canon as they could get away with (lesbian couples in a children's show? Preposterous!). Despite all the bitching about pandering, I think it's a rather touching gesture from the makers of the show. It's nice to get nods like this from time to time. It gives us more to write about, too.

Holy shit yes, someone actually gets it! I'm tired of hearing people bitch about this episode for fucking assinine reasons. Honestly, if you can't just sit back and enjoy the cute ponies without having something to bitch about all the damn time then I have no idea what the hell some of those people are even doing in the fandom. This episode was amazing though. Though Dr Who and Secret Agent Drops were a bit like "Am I really watching this? Is this really canon? Did we go back to April 1st again?"
Like, it just seemed so out there XD
But it was all good though! Besides the fireworks being ignited with "love". That felt cheesy X'D
and I'm just sitting here... still on S4E11...

Excellent review, and buck all the people complaining about the episode. It was TREMENDOUS.
There's good fanservice, and there's bad fanservice. This episode jumped the shark so much with its fanservice that it sorta went into the realm of meta-humour.
Still, good fanservice.
