Marshy's Whiskey Wisdom · 11:07am Jan 6th, 2016
Alright, down 1/3 a bottle of bourbon and bored. So what do I talk about? Uhh, lemme think.
Okay, oddly enough, whiskey fills my head with sad country music. Look up Whiskey Lullaby. That' s the main one. Technically the only one but my life is young.
What else... I remember a friend was once asking about why people like Donald Trump have to exist. Something like how he's inspiring so much bad and scary stuff, like to do with immigrants and whatnot.
Well here's what I figure. People like Trump exist because without the bad people, good people don't really exist.
Does that make sense? Lemme try again.
Basically a given concept is only notable if it has an equal and opposing opposite. Good people aren't special without bad people. There aren't any good people if there aren't any bad people to set the standard for what they oppose. So for every Donald Trump there has to be a Gandhi. And for every asshole friend, there has to be a friend who sits and puts up with phases of depression and anxiety and all that awful shit.
And somebody might say that it'd be better to just have the good people and not the bad. And sure that makes sense, on the surface. But would we even know the good people if we saw them, if we had no frame of reference for the alternative?
It all seems relative to me. I dunno if this makes sense at all. I guess we'll find out tomorrow. Life is good, followers. I'll probably write again eventually ^^ so sit tight.
(In theory it'll be SoariLane crossdressing because I've been so gay lately)
Hard stuff,
cheers to you.
As someone living in almost as far as you can get from the U.S, I'm thinking that at least it'll usher in a new golden era of political comedy.
Also, try some patsy cline!
Only lately?
Nah, it makes perfect sense.
A lot of things exist in duality. There is no light without shadow, and no darkness exists without light.
wait what?.....
