[MBF,L] Announcements and What's to Come · 6:06pm Jun 3rd, 2015
Hi all!
So, there's a couple of things I'd like to announce about the story, as well as address:
Part 14.
Will HOPEFULLY be out by the end of next week. I'm currently in the last week of instruction and I have finals week the following week after that. From what's been tentatively planned, we're looking at a normal sized chapter, with some steamy stuff encompassed in Part 15, which will be longer than normal. Feel free to comment on the story itself or this blog post if you have any questions or thoughts about this.
Stella.
Like Blueblood, we will be seeing much more of her and she will play a VERY important role. A chaotic good, to compliment Blueblood and to add an extra dimension of personality and humor to the story itself. True to my style for this fic, more flashbacks will detail depth of interaction as to how the guardsmare and Fred became friends. We all have that one friend or that one person we know who is a complete fucking maniac but in the best way possible. That's her. Any questions about Stella, her dynamic, or her introduction? Luna/Fredrick Dynamic.
More glimpses into the past will also reveal a greater dynamic between the two main protagonists. There were a few complaints that the first chapter was quite rushed in terms of character development and dynamic... and they're completely right. However, that's what tends to happen when you have, in your opinion, a great idea and are in a rush to get the story out, as well as having great ideas AFTER the story's implementation. I'll be filling in the cracks in the foundation, as a result. Feel free to share your ideas or questions if you feel so inclined.
Story Extension.
I never intended this story to be massive on the scale of, say, Metroid Equis, approaching just shy of 250,000 words. I still don't. However, to accommodate extra layers of dynamic and development without pushing out critical, present-time plot, as well as taking to heart suggestions by you readers and my own reasoning, the story will be extended by several parts. Tentative ballpark is around twenty-five parts as opposed to twenty.
Milestone.
It's been thirteen parts already and we're well into the story and at a critical point. I have to deliver a personal thanks to everyone who stuck it out with me this far and offered not only praise, but solid criticisms, suggestions, and even humor. I can't tell you how many times I've read the comments and laughed my ass off. I absolutely LOVE interacting with you all. You guys are amazing!

Stella has a Scottish accent, so this came to mind. I showed it to Flammen during one of our sessions, and he thought it was hysterical.
