Fan art for The Pony Who Lived Upstairs

Here's a piece of fan art that made me giggle and be all tickled and amused when my friend Mbala gave it to me. I've posted it on Chapter 12 of The Pony Who Lived Upstairs, which is about where I was in the novel when he created it. Derpy's mane and tail are actually a pale yellow in the original. As background--I used to play Derpy as a wizard character on a pony roleplaying venue

    Peach Spark's Song

Some call me the Blogger of Mirth
Some people call me Peach Spark

The Pony Who Lived Upstairs featured on Royal Canterlot Library

I'm delighted to report that The Pony Who Lived Upstairs has been reviewed and featured by the Royal Canterlot Library, a band of avid pony writers and readers who enjoy collecting and spotlighting quality stories. Their erudite description made me laugh with joy! As it happens, the curator who

New pony story from my archives of embarrassment!

So, I just posted the first chapter of a story I began way back in 2013 after the Season 3 finale aired. I know a lot of people didn't like that episode, but I loved it--it's still my favorite to this day. It inspired me to begin not one but two stories--the not-very-good "Cutie Mash" is the one I shared on this site, but there was another I began called "Frames of Folly." I was saving

    Undertale novel complete!

Oh--and I want to let all my followers here know that I've finally finished the Undertale novel I'd been working on for about a year! 😱😁 It's on fanfiction.net and An Archive of Our Own, and it's called Alphys and the Queen. 🦎🐐 My username is

Squeeing over Pinkie Pie's Travelogue · 4:45am Apr 28th, 2015

I just reread "Pinkie Pie's Travelogue" today, my second appendix to The Combinatorics Project. It made me feel excited and proud and warm inside. Even though it's just an 'appendix', I really should have made it its own story, since it can almost stand alone. I've come to realize that of everything I've ever written, it's perhaps the work of which I'm most proud. A few fans of The Combinatorics Project wanted to see the multiversal adventure I gave Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie in Chapter 5 but didn't show. I eventually wrote it and I'm quite glad I did.

But when I went back to fanfiction.net to shamelessly bask in the reviews, I realized that there were almost none for "Pinkie Pie's Travelogue!" There were a fair number here on fimfiction, and a lot of great ones on Equestria Daily that later got deleted and I have no idea why. :pinkiesad2: But apparently my fanfiction readers didn't have much to say--maybe they didn't ever get notified because the story was already marked Complete! I don't know. But I just spent some time replying to the reviews on Chapter 5 and 6 from people who seemed like they'd enjoy the Pinkie piece the most. :pinkiehappy: Maybe it's juvenile to be telling people, "Hey, read more of my story!" two years after the fact. Maybe I'm just a comment junkie. But it felt right. It didn't feel like it would do any harm.

So if there's anyone reading this who likes the idea of Pinkie Pie on a 119-day adventure spanning 56 worlds who hasn't read the last chapter of The Combinatorics Project, I suggest doing so. You don't have to read the rest of the story first--all you need to know is that Pinkie and Rainbow have set off through a network of parallel worlds to try and find a cure for a curse afflicting Rarity, and that they have some reason to believe they just may be destined to fall in love along the way.:rainbowderp:

I keep meaning to read that chapter. This may be just the kick in the rear I need to make that happen. Thanks.

I remember really liking the travelogue. It was probably my favorite part of that story as well :D

EQD changed comment systems like... probably three years ago at this point. :B Cleared all the old comments out.

it doesn't notify me, or add your story updates to my unread list when you update a story.

3027500 Do you know if there's anything I can do about that?

3024977 Well, it's good to know it wasn't just me! I guess? Yeah, I don't have a lot of respect for the way EqD handles fanfiction.

3027702 the only thing i can think of would be to ask the admins. I usually only find out when you update via blog posts.

That chapter was my favorite. I recall reading the whole thing waiting for the PinkieDash chapter and then it turned out intitially being the smallest one in terms of content for the ship. Thankfully when I saw the story it was after you wrote that chapter and that last chapter did not disappoint as I loved it.

I always like a good PinkieDash and yours is a great one.

If you do, fan, let me know! :pinkiehappy:
