Cubic Zirconia Updates! (Finally)

I'm sure some of you already noticed this, but I finally did a Cubic Zirconia update. I pretty much finished the chapter this weekend and after making a few changes based on feedback, I saw no reason to delay it more with the massive gap I've had between chapters, even with today being April Fools day.

I hope everyone enjoys the new chapter.

One other thing, though. Given the ending of the chapter, I'm obviously going to be covering a lot of ground regarding Scootaloo. While I probably know most of them, I'm rather curious what questions people have about Cubic Zirconia they'd like to see answered in a future chapter, especially about Scootaloo.

If you have nagging questions about Cubic Zirconia that you don't think I'm going to cover in another chapter, feel free to add them in as well.

I'm probably not going to answer anything that's likely to be a major spoiler, so I suspect I won't answer directly a fair amount of this, but this'll give me an idea if there's anything I'm missing that I really should make sure to cover...

I'm glad it's back, too. There was a good while where I just had half the Opal scene, and the start of the scene after leaving. That's really irritating when there are later chapters you want to get to. Next chapter will be tough to write, but I think it'll be interesting. Scootaloo will finally get most of a chapter to herself...

I can't think of any, I'll let the author decide ^^ I Just know this is a very creative story using old tropes that I love to death (I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM! )

Oh, don't worry, I've got plenty of questions that I already plan to answer in the story, like "Why is Scootaloo living in a clubhouse?", "Why is she missing feathers", and "How did she get that scar under her wings everyone's forgotten about by now", not to mention "What's wrong with Filthy Rich, anyways?" and "When will Diamond get a proper place to live?".

It's one of these cases where I've got enough mental backstory that I'm afraid I'll forget to include some of it.

Probably because it was a long time ago, and I actually said 'scab' rather than scar. (I likely meant a scab on a scar. Oh well.)

"Yeah," Scootaloo said, stopping her pushups and stretching. "My wings are pretty tiny, so I've been working on my wing muscle strength."

Well, she supposed that was reasonable. Now that Scootaloo had stopped moving, but still had her wings out, something caught her attention. In an area her wings normally covered, she had an old-looking scab on her side, and her fur was kinda thin in a line on either side of it.
Diamond Tiara would never have noticed if she hadn't been this close and Scootaloo hadn't been exercising. What could possibly have caused that?

"What's that on your side?" she asked.

Scootaloo looked up. "Hmm?"

"That spot there?" she said, pointing.

Scootaloo looked at her side and frowned. "I told you, that's personal."

Then she went back to her pushups, ignoring Diamond Tiara completely.

But she didn't say that was personal. She said the reason she was living here was. Diamond Tiara shook her head. Whatever. There were more important matters right now.

I have to say, I'm curious about something.
Are you going deeper into DT's cutie mark, as well as her cutie mark story? You covered it pretty well when DT was talking to the Crusaders, but that just makes me more curious.
How could standing in front of a mirror looking at herself while thinking about things DT doesn't remember lead to the thing this new DT would love to do, and how could it relate to her tiara cutie mark? Hmm...

I'm not totally sure how much I'm going to go into that, though I do have at least one more scene regarding cutie marks planned, possibly two, or more if they occur to me.

As far as the mirror, she was letting her imagination run wild while she was in front of the mirror, and strutting up and down, posing, pretending to be a princess, in a beauty pagent, any number of things. She just realised that what she was pretending was exactly what she wanted to be doing at some point, and forgot her revelation afterwards in her excitement.

At least, that's how I'm thinking about it at the moment.
