King of Beggars

One of these days we'll form a union, and get the fair and equitable treatment we deserve. Then we'll go too far, and become corrupt and shiftless, and the Japonies will eat us alive.

Damned again by my own verbosity! · 8:07pm Mar 11th, 2015

Greetings, fellow tiny horse enthusiasts! King of Beggars here with the newsless-news!

Here on a late lunch-break, just shooting off a quick blogpost to update everyone on the current state of affairs regarding the "epilogue" of TwiGuard. You might all be wondering: "What's taking so long to get the epilogue out? Aren't those kind of short?" The answer to your question is yes, yes epilogues tend to be on the shorter side. Sadly(?), I tend to run off at the mouth and fingers, so this thing's basically a full chapter already... and I still have one more scene to write... At this rate, the epilogue will end up with an epilogue, and this will just be a final chapter. Either way, look forward to a release either Friday or Saturday, depending on whether or not I decide to do something short and fun as an actual epilogue so we can end this first arc of the TwiGuard series on a laugh.

Oh well, I guess it's just more for you all to read. Hope to see you guys this weekend and hope that you all have a safe rest of your week.

Please be excited!

Thank you for an update on the story. I hope things keep on shining through.

YAY!!!!!!! *happy dance*
Second Arc here we come. Mwahaha.

so we can end this first arc of the TwiGuard series on a laugh

This fills me with something though I can't quite be sure it isn't pancakes. It does have a similar happy and contented feeling.

Wait...

end this first arc

... how many more arcs are there expected to be? It's almost sounding like this could become your longest story yet.

Am I reading this right?

Unknown at the moment how long it'll be. I think maybe another two or three arcs, but whether that means multiple sequels or one massive one, it remains to be seen. The way I write I'm never sure what of my plans end up being kept and what becomes scrap until I sit down. I know where I want the series to go, and who our villain is, but gotta see how it pans out, ya know? Thankfully though the arcs won't be too long each. I think...

I'll still be doing little one shots and romance things here and there, but I've got exciting ideas for TwiGuard and I love how it's shaking up. Hope the fans of my romcons aren't too disappointed, but I gotta write the things that interest me, and TwiGuard is really doing it for me.

=EDIT=
To be a little more clear, I'm saying 2-3 more arcs, but I'm using that term kind of loosey-goosey. What I mean is that I have two or three more major events I want Twi to deal with, and they're all related to one another. I have to see how long it takes her to handle them. In the end, all told the stuff I have planned shouldn't be too much longer of a story than what the current TwiGuard amounts to, maybe just another 30-40k words. This first installment was mostly building the world and setting up Twi and Cadance's interactions and personalities, so that's what ate most of the white space.

Twilight is going to be weirded out to come home and find a new alicorn who was reformed by her brother.

And I do always enjoy seeing a well-written Luna meets Cadence scene, so hopefully the fic will incorporate one of those.

More reading to be done?
Damn, I really hate reading.
Why am I even on this site?
...
I'm an egghead.
