I did it. I freaking did it. I spent two hours and thirty minutes on this. I could have studied for school or written for the site, but I decided I was gonna build a cardboard castle and I did. This is it. This is a testament of how much I don't have a love or social life.

If you want to know how I did it, it really wasn't that hard. I found out that if you break the boxes open along a seam where the ends are glued together, you have a fair amount cardboard to work with. I lined them along each other, and stapled them together, then glued down the flaps so that they wouldn't stick out. Each turret was made with approximately eight 12 pack soda boxes and the wall was also made with eight, although they weren't rolled up and glued like the turrets. The roof was made with a box torn in half, so all in all, 25 boxes went into the making of this castle. I'm 5'4'' and I'm just barely taller than the back wall. I intend to have many shenanigans with this castle.

We've collected this from several months, and we just never got around to getting rid of them.
Looks awesome. Besides this just means that you have a very valuable skill in that you follow through with things that you really like. I bet if you are ever in a job position that you even somewhat like then you will give it your all and do the best you can at it. School is important, but the drive to do the job is even more important. Wow that turned into a rant.
Unrelated to my rant. This looks like a solid back wall if you get more boxes then you can make longer side walls, make a entrance with palisades, or a retractable drawbridge with something like strings for chains. Then make ballistas for turrets.

My brother came home from work and he asked me what I was doing in the kitchen (our kitchen window is near the front door), to which I responded, "I'm making a castle." When I brought him in to show him, he shook his head and told me, "I am disappointed in teh fact that you did this, but I am impressed because you had the follow through and the creativity to do it to begin with." Then he made some Spaghetti-O's and left.

Don't feel bad. I have no love life and waste time in fantastic ways. Rather than update my biggest story I played some XCOM and I used to build whole suits of cardboard armor and shields. You should totally put a flag on the fort btw. Long life Fort Wuna.

That is glorious. You should feel proud of yourself. Also, I'll admit, sometimes instead of writing here I just go and play Hanna In a Choppa 2. That game is the strangest thing. On one level I had to ride on a jetpack through hell trying to avoid exploding mushrooms while patriotic music played in the background. Anyways, awesome castle!
