Hey there, just a little heads up that I'm not dead and still working on the story. I apologize again for the delay, I'm hoping I'll be able to start releasing chapters faster soon.
The prologue has been rewritten and is currently being reviewed by my editor, Derpypaws. I definiltely like the new version better and still plan on reworking the existing chapters. Chapter 4 is almost ready, but I want it to go through one more proofreader before I send it over to my editor.
Since you guys are being patient, I'll let you in on one of the big reason this is taking so long: chapter 4's POV character is Captain Silvermane. It took a bit more time then expected to write her in a way that both my proofreaders and myself can be satisfied with. Original characters are definitely a challenge, especially when expected to hold their own against the ponies we've been watching for 4 seasons.
Overall, here's the status of every chapter.
Prologue: Reworked, sent over to Derpypaws for feedback and editing.
Chapter 1: My newest proofreader, Alptraum Mond, made some notes about it, which he should send to me soonish. I definitely want to focus on releasing chapter 4 before I work on this.
Chapters 2 and 3: No changes for now, they'll probably get reworked eventually.
Chapter 4: It'll be out as soon as I can, I promise!
Chapter 5: I'm slowly editing and reworking it.
Chapters 6 and 7: First drafts are complete and they both got a round of editing. They're waiting for my proofreaders to get to them.
Chapter 8: I planned it out, haven't started writing it yet.
I reworked my formula to make up for a new proofreader and the fixes to released chapters. Total fic completion: 14.86%
I also tried working on a one shot, but lacked inspiration for the story. I always end up coming back to A Dream of Sunny Days.

Sorry again, I know what it's like to wait after an author. Feels kinda weird to be on the other side and have everyone wait as I keep reworking a chapter.

Oh yeah, writing definitely takes more time then it looks. I don't want to needlessly rush my proofreaders either.
