A surprising treat came in my inbox a few days ago: A piece of fanart by the esteemed Mech (alias MisterMech on DA). I see his art frequently on EQD, and it's both enthusing and humbling to have an established artist view my work highly enough to give time to it.

Dang it's huge.

Three hundred years after banishing Nightmare Moon, Celestia is less than enthused to receive a statuette from an admirer. Discomfited by both her divine appearance and the imaged murder of her sister, she turns it to face the wall. And there it sits, forgotten until an unwanted guest calls her mind to it once more...
