I miss the days--to all my fans and supporters, you were great. I leave a ghost, honest but neglected promises, and just the tip of the worlds I wished to share...

Something Positive, Yes? A...Fairytale of sorts. The Tale of Jackal and Phoenix

So, one thing I have been doing is a lot of homebrewing and world building for my Dungeons and Dragons campaign setting, Alandria. Have a good game, a little over a year old now, going, and it really sparks my creativity. I long to reach a point where I can write stories and the like in my world, like certain others have done in the past. (Haaah, dreams.)

My Name is Jared DeZarn. I'm a Worthless Failure.

So heads up. I have had a bit more to drink than I meant to. I'm still, more or less, aware of myself. I won't be blacking out or anything. If anything, I'm kind of in a super aware state?

My God, He's Releasing Something New

Jaysus, I've been quiet here. In all ways, not just the writing side of life. Which sucks. I suck, yes.

Call to Help Finish the Games

So, the Games, as originally intended, are pretty much done. But that's not my fault--so I'll see them done, even if the overall exercise has been largely lost.

Finally Feeling 100% -- For the Next Couple Days... Album Stuff Finally · 8:18pm Jan 16th, 2015

Goddamn. I mean, damn. I usually don't get sick often, but when I do, it's only the worst things that get past my immune system. But one weekend of I'm pretty sure the return of the flu and then this past weekend (note, I'm using the term to denote my days off, Tues and Weds, not the actual weekend) of whatever this stomach bug is that has apparently gone through my entire county just... Damn. Really just wiped me out. And it was so random. Like the first day I had it was awful, the next day thought I was just fine, then the next day right back to being pained and sick. Then it just kind of sucked for several days...

I finally seem to be over it all but would still prefer taking it easy for a couple days, through the actual weekend.

So in between finishing up Discordian Games Round 1 stuff (which is moving at a good clip again, thank heavens), the next couple days are dedicated to The Album and The Album 2.

Starting right now! *pfoofs away to work*

yay!

It is too late now, but next Autumn, I recommend that you should receive your Vaccination against Influenza. While you are at it, I recommend that you make certain that all of your other vaccinations are current. Indeed, you probably should make all of your vaccinations current as soon as possible, because if you get whooping cough, breath on a baby too young to vaccinate, the baby could die. Until you are over your influenza and a current on all of your vaccinations, you should stay away from the elderly too. Beware of SCAM (Supplemental Complementary Alternative Medicine). I have 3 things so imporatnt to add that I have to make them bullet-Points:

* Do not get your medical advice from random ponies commenting on your blog.
* Do not get your medical advice from celebrities who are famous because they took off their clothes for PlayBoy.
* Do get your medical advice from trained certified doctors, but with the caveat that since Doctors receive Fee-For-Service, they may want to do tests and procedures just for the fee (if I would have my way, Doctors would be paid by how healthy their patients are with neither gain nor loss of pay for services and tests).

You sound suspiciously like a bot. Either way, yeah, no. I'm a fairly healthy young man, aged near on 26. That's about as far from needing a flu vaccine as you can get. Beyond the obvious vaccinations, I have a robust and very effective immune system that can handle itself and am in no need of one for the flu. Before last year, I had never had the flu before. And while at that time it was literally the worst physical pain I have ever felt, if this past go was indeed the flu, which it may or may have not been, it was much milder and only lasted a couple days. And was also a couple weeks ago.

I mean, it's good advice, but assumes a lot of things and comes off as heavy handed and insulting. Just the wrong target for your audience, mate.

Suspicion of bot detected. Response # 6E363AD2:

¡I am not a bot!

Says person with strong immune system who was waylaid for days by probable influenza, ¿can you afford to unexpectedly miss a week of wok? Besides think about others:

I have an 89-year-old grandmother. I make certain that only the vaccinated get anywhere near her. If you do not vaccinate yourself, you should, out of courtesy stay away from the elderly and preschool children. That basically means that you should avoid family-reunions. You would not want to kill your newborn niece with whooping cough or your grand father with influenza.

Besides, if a large enough percentage vaccinates, diseases cannot propagate. This is known as Herd-Immunity —— ¡Join the herd! When Herd-Immunity breaks down, we have outbreaks on vaccination-preventable diseases. This has happened with measles in England and Australia, as well as Whooping Cough in California.

If the vaccination-rate is high enough and the evolution-rate is low enough, one can drive diseases to extinction. This is what happened with small pox, a disease which killed about 10,000,000,000 people over the last 10,00 years. The same nearly happened with Polio:

In 2000, forecasts indicated that Polio could be extinct by 2010, but the antivaccers started spreading rumors that the Polio-Vaccine sterilizes and that it is part of a conspiracy to sterilize Moslems. As a result, Polio is resurgent. Polio is on the increase and spreads. I for 1, would like to see Polio wiped from the face of the Earth.

Glad to see you alive and kicking, PC.

I was going to shoot back with how insulting your assumptions still are, how dangerous an overly protective attitude is in the long run, and how you're just not listening to me. But, again, you're just not listening and bringing in all sorts of information and points that are completely unrelated to anything I originally talked about, so it's really not worth my time.

Thank ye.

¿Have you heard about the outbreak of measles just announced which is due to breakdown in herd-immunity centered in Southern California, but with cases in in far-flung regions because of tourism?:

¡AntiVaccers Cause Measles-OutBreak!

This outbreak occurs now.
