Hey Guys · 1:13pm Jan 16th, 2015
Hey. What's up? Other than my fic not being updated in some time... Which I will fix! I promise! Soon!
I had actually gotten around to working on it again, when I got an idea for a couple of one-shots I couldn't get out of my head... So, yeah, that kept me busy for a week or two. One or two of those might get published in the coming days. Regardless though, Misplaced Science will be updated soon-ish. I'm hoping to have all work and edits done by Sunday. Also trying for a much longer chapter than usual. (Which is difficult for me, for some reason. Every time, I swear...)
On an unrelated note, choose a number between 1 and 22. I swear to you that this isn't related to MS in any way, shape or form. Your decision will likely have little to no impact on the story's outcomes, so don't try to make assumptions and make an informed guess, because you can't. I want you to be as random as possible here, guys. Go.
I'm partial to the number 13. Looking forward to more MS.

13, huh? One second...
...
You traitor.
2726459
Haha, now I'm left curious as to what I've chosen!!!
2726460
I'll likely make another post determining what the winner was, and what the contest was on top of that. I've currently got 8 different polls in different places. It'll be interesting, alright...
11.
8, I suppose.
I'mma hit one and follow up with a random.
17

11... sounds good to me, too.
A random number? 13.
A number between 1 and 22, eh? Alright then.
π
Come at me, bro.
2726739
I'm rounding that to a 3.

e^π-π
Hell yeah.
2726784
Pi - Pi= 0
Anything to the power of 0 is 1.
Your answer has been noted.
I'm aware that isn't technically the equation you gave me, but I'm tired.
2726789
E to the power of pi, minus pi. If it was to the power of pi minus pi, I would have written it like e^(π-π)
2726790
I'm aware. Read the end of my comment.
2726791 Fine, it's 19.9990999792
2726797
20 it is, then.
Thanks for keeping us in the loop
I just plain pick Pi.
Because the cake is a lie,
I can't decide between 8 and 16. It's both beautiful digital numbers, and I just can't decide!..

Four!
I would suggest lim (3 * sqrt(47π) / ((n-1)/n)^n) for n → ∞ .
Couldn't get it more random than that.
2727421
Or, in other words, ten.
2728670
Oi! Voting for a divergent limit is cheating.
2728686
I say. I shall huff indignantly and tell you the sequence converges perfectly fine.
However, I just noticed you are right and this limit is indeed cheating. Because I made a boo-boo.
Have a better one: lim (((3 * sqrt(47π) / ((n+1)/n)^n) + (3 * sqrt(47π) / ((1-n)/-n)^-n)) * ((n+1)/n)^-n) for n → ∞
This one converges within the interval [1,22] and therefor is no cheating.
2728700
I'll admit, that one's stumping me if you wrote it correctly.
2728700
Or, in other words, ten (after rounding).

Doest thou not know the third commandment of mathmatics? Thou shalt not round!
And, no , the irony is not lost on me.
That's what you said last time.
And 21. I'd have come up with some cool equation or something but I'm just too tired to do it....
3, Its a classic prime.
Hey man, just take your time with it. You are cool as hell and I enjoy waht you wrote, I am willing to wait as long as you need for another chapter
