I return. · 12:21am Jan 14th, 2015
So, I'm back from AGDQ 2015. We raised over 1.5 million dollars for the Prevent Cancer Foundation, and I'm worn out from working the entire event trying to keep people in line.
I got some writing done while I was gone, but there's still quite a bit more to go. I'm uncertain if I should release what I have, or simply try to finish the story while I have momentum. I'm a little bit short of what I'd normally like to release anyway, so I have some time to figure it out, but at least that lets you all know that I've actually gotten some writing done.
As for my health issues: I've been to 8 doctors, still no answer on what the problem is. It's probably something chronic like IBS, and therefore I've simply been trying to learn to live with it. It sucks, but that's just the way it's going to be most likley.
Hopefully I'll have some story updates for you guys soon.

2720886 I'm working on it.
Rael is back? And with a story? Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeees
ONE DAY
I was just going to ask how it was, actually. It was great this year! I STILL can't believe how much Save vs. Kill the Animals raised this year, and that Save actually won for once! I was literally jumping up and down from excitement!
2720896 $330k for that bid war alone. It raised the money for the $250,000 research grant by itself. Honestly, though, I was expecting save to win, because I think the save emote was better.
Honestly, I expect Save to win at AGDQ now, and Kill to win at SGDQ.
I know there were some people (Particularly on the Speedrun sub-Reddit) who were disappointed with the marathon this year, but I enjoyed all of the runs I saw. I was particularly pleased with Battleblock Theater (MechaRichter and PJ were awesome), the MegaMan X race, Jedi Knight, and the FFVII run. I haven't seen the OoT run yet. Saving that for a rainy day.
Glad you got back ok, and I hope you find out what's going with your health soon.
Welcome back, and congratulations on all you've accomplished! Moving onto the less happy topic; if that's the IBS I think it is, then I'm right there with you Kal. If you've been dealing with it as long as it seems, then I don't really think I have advice for you, but it is manageable. I do hope it comes to be more tolerable as time goes on for you, as it has me. Best of luck to you!
I looked for you on the stream, but I don't think I saw you. I liked the runs, though. That Tetris Grandmaster run was unreal.
I hope you get to feeling better and I'm eagerly awaiting an update whenever you get around to it.
SAVE THE FRAMES! KILL THE ANIMALS!
IBS? That sucks man. But hey, so long as you stay positive, and don't let it keep you down, right?
A disability will not prevent you from being happy. Only you can do that.
I hope you'll feel better sooner rather than later.
