I'm not dead yet, I promise. · 12:21am Jun 25th, 2014
I'm back from Trotcon, extremely sick, and still dealing with an awkward transition in the new chapter.
Meanwhile, I believe I"ve told you this already, but you should shower Swift-Blaze with admiration because she's a good artist who keeps drawing me things.
It's actually part of a larger image that you can find here or here.
It looks really slick, and conveniently those link you to her tumblr and deviantart, it's almost like I planned that.
Anyways, From Scratch is actually getting to the point where I'm starting to draw things in the story back together, I know some of you might be pleased/disappointed to hear that, but I've had the closing sequence of the story planned since pretty much the start. The problem is that, without including any spoilers, we've gotten to a point in the story where in order for important things to happen, more time needs to pass. I've filled up a decent amount of that with side stories, fluff, and extra plot threads, but at this point drawing it out any further would feel artificial to me. So, the next chapter is going to include some time skipping and necessary exposition, and I'm trying to figure out the best ways to do that without it feeling too awkward, so it's moving slowly.
I'll probably do a better job once I'm not dying from the convention plague anymore... So go bother Swift Blaze (links above) about how awesome she is to pass the time until the chapter comes out.
Can't say anything more than... Thank you lord! Yours was the first ship fic I read on this site, and the one that introduced me to the OctXVinyl ship, so I'm excited to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel as it were. Good luck with the finishing touches.
Heh, I was getting worried. Hadn't heard from you in so long that I had seriously considered sending a private message to verify that you were alright. Good to hear that you are, in any case.
I've been slouching in the reading area, lately. It's been quite some time since I've actually sat down and read any fic on this site that I wasn't being asked to edit, but I suppose it's about time to actually read your stories. I'm such a poor follower.
In any case, good to hear that you're still with us, and I hope you're feeling better before long.

Happy to see u on the site alive and well. I hold your fic among my top 3 ships. I am sure that this next chapter will be just as great as the others

im actually very curious to see what happends next, you always find a way to surprice me, cant wait for more :)
Trotcon: not as fun when you're horribly sick.
Hope you still got some enjoyment out of it.
2232923 I still had fun, but I had to miss the last day. There wasn't much going on so I would have just been hanging out with friends, but it was still kind of crummy.
Sorry to hear that you are once again sick. It really hasn't been a good year in that regard, has it? I hope you feel better and healthier soon.
Glad to hear you were able to make it out to Trotcon. Any new and exciting swag? I managed to somehow miss the first ever con in town; I'm still kicking myself over that.
I don't know whether to be excited or worried by the delay; the chapter will come in under 100,000 words, right? I look forward to our entertaining grammatical/literary sparring.
Cheers!
