    Droppin' By

Hello, I was in the neighborhood and had just realized that my last blog post was a bit of a downer, given that it was around the time of my Grandma's passing and funeral. I think I oughta leave you folks with something a bit more upbeat or at least something neutral.

    And Now, A Newsletter

Huh, back in July I said I oughta talk more around here. It's now the day after Christmas and I have not, in fact, talked more around here.

So, I'll give you the rundown on what I've been up to since then. Warning, it gets a little long in talking about last summer's vacation and about a new fixation I have.

In which my trend of lame titles just keeps on going.

Anyway, since I managed to get that chapter of Brotherly Bonding Time out, I figured I'd go ahead and bump off the other journal.

So, uh... I guess I'll just show you a song that I think will fit the overall tone of the fic:

Yeah, that's about right, I suppose. Pfft, the song's even from a movie about brotherhood. :trollestia:

Anyway, onto more serious matters... I've been wanting to throw one of my fics at someone to review. I don't know who, I'm just curious about how a review would go and how my finished multi-parters--The Rock Farmer's Daughters and Brother Bothers--stand from an objective standpoint.

Of course, I keep having the following conflicting thoughts:

"Bring it on, I'm a tough girl, I can take what you can dish out!"
"Ugh... no, no, no, I'm a sensitive soul, I can't take it!"
"But people have been telling me that my fics are good!"
"But what if they're just telling me what I want to hear...?"
"Of course, a review would be fun to read..."
"...on second thought, what if they point out a fatal flaw in RFD or BB that'll be impossible to fix?"
"What would people think of the AU I created, or of Tomato Sandwich?"
"...they'll just bring up the Nightmare Moon thing. As for Tommy, well, they'll just say what that one guy said..."
"I would like my works to get a little more attention..."
"...on second thought, obscurity isn't so bad?"

But, eh, ya know, human being having human conflicting thoughts. And kind of being bored. And also having too many ideas in my head that I can't write down fast enough (I do have a few ideas of what kind of mishaps Cheese and Tommy will end up in, but I've got to get through the current mishap...). And listening to music and whatnot.

Erm... okay, continue on with your lives...

An underrated song from an underrated movie. I thought you would pick for the first time in ever from frozen. Since I see similarities between elsa and anna and tommy and cheese. Cheese is elsa minus the ice magic of course. And tommy is anna. yeah still brother bear is a good choice since the soundtrack needs more love anyway.

2717187 I chose "On My Way" because, well, Cheese and Tommy are on a trip. Besides, I just happen to love Brother Bear, so... :raritywink:

I love brother bear! ha ha finally someone shares that love for it. Tell me do you tear up when you listen to the song where kenai tells Koda the truth about his mom? oh god I practically started bawling. I love those two even if Kenai was the reason Koda is orphaned he still made up for it by being there for the little cub. Why doesn't disney do more movies like this? you know where siblings bond? Frozen was the second movie to do that.

2717195 I don't cry very easily, but I was sad during that scene.

2717199
I see that's cool. but yeah it was a pretty sad scene Disney is known to do stuff like this i mean we all remember mufasa......and bambi.

2717205 Those scenes sure scarred audiences for years.

I love this song. Many others take it as a regular background song but as I listened to it more and more,
I realized there was a deeper meaning behind the song :raritystarry:
