Hey! Don't poke my Pokemon! · 10:00pm Dec 18th, 2014

When last we left off, I was leaving Ambrette Town and heading up the beach to Cyllage Town. There are a few weak Pokemon Trainers on the beach, a couple new Pokemon, and a lot of hidden items.

Shortly after reaching Cyllage Town, I get a free Bicycle. I also stop by the boutique and completely change my look to something sporty and sexy...but I'm still keeping the original hat I started with, because I haven't really liked any of the other hats I've seen yet.

After some shopping and a quick look around town, I hit the Cyllage Gym, which is a rock-climbing wall puzzle. Some tough Rock-type Pokemon trainers are here, but I prevail in climbing the gym. I take on the Leader, Grant...

I GOT A CLIFF BADGE!

With my business concluded in Cyllage, it's on to Route 10...which is where I can catch the most genetically unstable creature in existence. I'm gonna need about ten of these fuckers, and I'm having more luck running into them than actually catching them (seriously, I've found seven and fainted five by accident), so that's...gonna take a while.

New Pokemon since last update:

Binacle
Doublade (evolved from Honedge)
Eevee x2
Golett
Hawlucha
Houndour
Luvdisc
Sigilyph
Snubbull
Steelix

Current Pokedex: 140 seen
115 obtained
Current party: Doublade, Croagunk, Ivysaur, Pidgeotto, Azumarill, Steelix

the most genetically unstable creature in existence.

I know, right?

2662445 I swear if you FARTED ON AN EEVEE it would evolve into a Poison-type. :rainbowwild:

If I am allowed to give a suggestion, maybe let Doublade learn the move Fury Swipes? Helped me catch many Pokémon.

2662450 With my luck, it'd hit five times and crit every damn time.

2662448
. . . :rainbowlaugh:

2662453
Do you have any way to teach any of your pokemon False Swipe?

2662455 Any of Honedge's evolutions should be able to learn that when the trainer obtains the tm. I think... I'll go consult the guide.

2662448

OH NUUUUU!!! TOXEON IS COMING NEXT GEN!!!:rainbowlaugh:

Aww, I love Eeve!

2662455 Yeah, and I really should. My other problem is that for some reason, I'm having SERIOUS issues with Pokeball fail rates. :facehoof:

2662448 Noxeon, maybe? Eh, I don't know. :rainbowlaugh:
Anyway, if you can, catch an Eevee at Level 19 to have an easier time getting Sylveon, if you want. Eevee needs to know a Fairy-type move to evolve into it, and at Level 20 it replaces Baby-Doll Eyes with Refresh, and it doesn't learn another Fairy move until Level 29. That's only half the equation, though.

2662453
2662455
Ops, my bad, I mean False Swipe, not Fury Swipes.
That was an embaressing misstake of me.

2662559 Yeah, the Eevees I've caught so far are all level 19...I think. At least one of them is anyway.

Also, Serebii doesn't say anything about a Fairy-type move, it just says two hearts in Pokemon-Amie? :rainbowhuh:

2662561
We all make little mistakes. No need to be embarrassed about this one.

2662562
According to Bulbapedia:

It evolves from Eevee when leveled up knowing a Fairy-type move and having at least two Affection hearts in Pokémon-Amie.

2662570 Aaaa, good to know.

Anyhoo, yeah, pretty sure the one I marked for that evolution is level 19.

question, are you interested in hidden abilities?
Cause I can maybe score you a Eevee or 7 with its hidden or at least breed you a few 4 IV or 5 IV Eevee's from friend safari.
2662450 you mean false swipe? Cause if that I agree, great capture lead.

Yeah if it dosent have charm, or baby doll eyes all you will get is a Umbreon, Or espeon

Eevee Are you using the XYORAS dex?

2662562 Well, looking on Sylveon's Serebii page, they do jumble the evolution requirements a bit, so I can understand some confusion. I was looking at Bulbapedia, though. It's my go-to site. Even they took a while to determine the evolution requirements for Sylveon.

2662595 I'm not in it for the metagame, I'm in it for the fun. I don't care about IVs, EVs, or Hidden Abilities. I just care about catching and evolving Pokemon and making it through the game.

2662703 if u got the Shiny Beldom they were handing out, it has a move called Hold Back, which does the same thing as False Swipe...and if u did not get it, i could see loaning u one of mine...though i would need decent Collateral in exchange...said Collateral would also receive training from me and the possibility of leveling up by the time u got it back...

2662991 Thanks, but not necessary. And...considering I just got Pokemon X two weeks ago...I don't have either any event Pokemon nor anything from past Route 10. :twilightsheepish:

2663210 the Mystery Gift function should already be active as soon as u start the game. u can find it on the Main Menu when u first start up...it has three options once u select it, connecting to the internet, local wireless, and card codes.

the easiest to use is the Local Wireless, of course. go to a gamestop store or EB Games when they have event Pokemon to give away and u get the Mystery Gift of the Pokemon.

connecting to the internet is a little more tricky as u first have to set up ur system to use the net under ur System Settings and set up a Wireless Connection. u can then connect to that network in the game and download the Gift.

using Code Cards also requires u to set up ur Internet Connection, but then u need to enter the code found on the card u receive from the designated distributor. the code allows access to download the gift Pokemon to ur system...

u can also get Mystery Gifts via the IR transmiter in ur system, but i dont know how that works...

2663241 I do know you're just trying to help, but you're not exactly telling me anything I don't already know. :twilightsheepish:
