MOA's (Belated) First Anniversary · 11:43pm Dec 11th, 2014
One year and one week ago, I published My Overbearing Aunt to FIMFiction. When I first published it, I thought it was just gonna be a fun little story that people would find mild enjoyment in. I never imagined how popular the story would become. I published the story at night, so waking up the next morning with over 50 social and meta notifications as well as a feature was... shocking, to say the least. I also didn't expect to break 100 followers in just over two weeks, either, but it happened, and I couldn't be more grateful for that.
Thanks to everyone that supported this story, whether you were there from the beginning, joined in towards the middle, or are still reading it because you found it yesterday. This was the story that caused me to hit my stride on this site and it's because of you that I was able to do it. So I hope you'll join me in wishing this story...
HAPPY (belated) ANNIVERSARY!!!
I wanted to do this last week, but I was moving to a new apartment that week, so it totally slipped my mind. Better late than never, though.
So, in celebration, I want to ask you guys something: How did you feel about the story when you first saw it, and how does it compare to how you felt when you finished it? Do you still feel the same months after? Let me know in the comments below, and please use spoiler tags for any spoilers.
Keep it sketchy, folks!
Is it now? Well then, happy belated anniversary to it. I enjoyed it. I'd probably still enjoy it if I read it again now. Congrats on the new apartment, by the way.
If you remember, I sent you a link to a review I did awhile back... And my feelings have changed, slightly.
When I did the review, the story had just ended, and my opinion on it was still one of an incomplete story. Now that it has been finished for awhile, the story seems... Different.
It's a good different!
Like that phrase "you never fully appreciate something until its gone". The story just seems better overall since I read it the first time. It was like I was experiencing it for the first time all over again.
And that, Mr. Changeling, is how you know you have done a damn fine job of creating a story.
Never thought i'd like an anthro story, but you pulled it off.
