Quote of the day: Wes of AmazingSuperPowers.com on cloning · 11:10pm Dec 1st, 2014

There’s a lot of debate about human cloning, but that’s just because people are afraid of the truth: there have been like, six great people. Ever. We should just make more of those. The only trick is deciding which six. Not my problem since I’m definitely not one of them!

Agreed.

Clearly this means that that episode should have been named "Not Enough Pinkie Pies".

I think we already clone horses, we just don't let them on the racetrack for some reason.

It's an interesting idea, but I can't really imagine Rainbow Dash appreciating the sudden appearance of thousands of equally skilled ponies all vying for that same position on the Wonderbolts. Then again, Dash would probably just start her own team called the "Rainbolts" or something.

Count Dooku surveyed the assemblage --their greasepaint, their enormous shoes, their red rubber noses--in the suddenly-quieted messhall, then turned in rage to the Clonemaster.

"I said clone army!" he bellowed, "CLONE!"

Applejack doesn't have that problem, if we cloned her, she'd have plenty to do!

Applebucking season, for AJ, would be a bl-

Oh wait, Twilight can harvest an entire orchard with a thought anyway. And we're cloning her.

Okay, so Applejack's rodeo skills could totally be-

God damn it Fluttershy, are you making that redundant for her too?

Fine. Leadership. Surely-

Rainbow Dash. Twilight Sparkle. God DAMN it.

Well, what about her baking?

Pinkie Pie? You're going to make this worse, too?

There's got to be something about Applejack that nopony else in the Mane 6 has.

An amazingly strong brother!

Twilight again. Damn it.

An adorable, if burdensome, little sister?

Rarity.

But- I-

Okay, screw it, Spike, you're the new Applejack.

Sanity. Applejack is the most sensible and mentally stable member of the group. That isn't saying much, but it will be essential when there are hundreds if not thousands of them running around.

You guys also made me realize that my edit was made during the middle of the site being taken down for maintenance, so half my first sentence got cut off.

Though you both do raise equally excellent points.

But!

Spike is also surprisingly mentally stable (when the writer isn't fucking him up or giving him an ego complex!)

Spike also has a sexy green gaze.

But can Applejack double as a fax machine?

Advantage: Spike.

Your pic is borked, your argument is invalid. :ajsmug:

Also, Spike never looked so sexy looking as smug as that ajsumg emote.

(Besides, as nice as Spike's admittedly exotic dragon eyes are, Applejack has eyes you could get lost in.)

Plus, I recall Applejack being strong enough to break the strength test bell without even trying. Yet she does not risk demolishing the barn accidentally when tapping it. (Yes, Big Macintosh, I am looking at YOU.)
....Oh my god I think I have been possessed by Vargas.

Okay, I'm looking at this picture on my cellphone, and if I scroll slightly up and down, the pupils bounce.

It's not an optical illusion, because when I just shake the whole phone slightly up and down, the pupils don't move.

Anybody else seeing this? If it's a deliberate effect it's damned clever. Vaguely creepy, but clever.

Applejack is the Element of Adult Supervision.

Tell me we don't need more of that.

Since Luna is clearly considered best pony by many, she's a given. Celestia is needed to raise the sun each day, so that's two. Twilight is simply too adorkable to do without, so that's three. The question clearly becomes, "Which three of the remaining five Mane Six members, Spike, B.B.B.F.F., and Best Foalsitter Ever! do we clone?" Then there's Trixie. And if Star Swirl the Bearded ever deigns to appear again, all bets are completely off.

Except for Ms. Harshwhinney. Eternal, unchanging, unflinchingly professional and stern, she doesn't need to be cloned. :pinkiecrazy:

Actually, it does it for me too. It is an optical illusion, I think, caused by the effect from scrolling.

2629622
I'm seeing it too. Her hoof moves back and forth a little when I scroll as well. And if I listen closely, it sounds like she's talking. "Come back to us, sugarcube."

I put the phone away. I really need to change that background. I keep getting stuck reminiscing about the farm. It ain't right to keep living in the past.

... Isn't right. It isn't right to keep living in the past.

2629622
Not seeing this optical illusion. Although, when I clicked on the Pinkies gif to bring it up when this blogpost was up on my feed a few days ago, it crashed my phone's browser. Does that count as an optical illusion? :P

Pinkie power lol.

Is this the image you meant to use?

images5.fanpop.com/image/photos/30900000/spike-the-gentleman-spike-the-dragon-30916022-398-500.jpg?1417656596451

If so I think I know what happened: you linked to the URL of the page, instead of the URL of the image.

Next time, just right-click on the image, select "Properties" from the menu that will pop up (it's right at the very bottom), and copy the entire URL that you see on the "General" tab that will pop up after that. Be sure to drag all the way down as often the whole URL won't appear next to the "URL (Address):" item.

What's strange is that the image link I used works for me, but apparently not for others, whilst yours apparently works for you, but not for me.

I always right-click copy-img-url in Chrome, so I'm not sure what's happened.
