Hey all,
Just in case anyone was getting worried, no, I have not died nor have I abandoned the story. This is and will most assuredly be the most difficult chapter to write of the entire story due to so much going on in one scene, on top of life happening, on top of school, on top of other stories. I've been working on this as much as I can, careful not to burn myself out and rest assured, progress is coming along smoothly. Good shit awaits us.
Reiterating past plans, Chapter 30 wraps up the Crystal Empire incident, to which we progress through the final explore-able area in chapter 31, and the final boss-fight in chapter 31 AND 32, as I've decided that (as custom with the Prime Series) the final battle be a two-part battle.
Finishing that, we get into the bonus chapters. This is when I'll be renaming all 'bonuses' to chapter XX.yy format. For example, there's going to be TEN bonus chapters between 32 and 33 (the official end of the story). These will be notated as 32.1, 32.2, 32.3...... 32.9, 32.10, and then Chapter 33 will arrive, segueing into Prime 3 canon-proper. Following chapter 33 will be a Staff Credits/Mission Complete chapter, as well as an extra little something. The bonus scenes and what not will be updated in much greater frequency, around twice a week. After deliberation, I'm publishing the list of bonus scenes below. Chronological order may be assumed:
32.1: Hero's Welcome: After the successful defeat of the greatest threat all of Equis has ever known to this day, Samus is treated to a hero's welcome back in Canterlot, along with the Federation that aided them and the brave soldiers that fought under Luna. Samus finally makes a decision on the residency offer extended to her.
32.2: Complacent: There's no one to fight, nothing to defend, no assignments given, etc. For the first time in a long time, Samus is in friendly company with little to do. She must cope. Cleanup processes begin.
32.3: Victory Celebration: Pinkie Pie made good on her word to throw a party, an invitation Samus kindly declined at first. After some convincing, the Hunter lets herself celebrate a victory with her newfound friends... with some interesting and hilarious results.
32.4: A Friend a Day: Samus spends the greater part of two weeks with each individual mare plus dragon, learning new ways to cope with complacency and get to know everypony on a deeper level than she ever would dare allow herself.
32.5: C.M.C.G.F.C.S.E.: Cutie Mark Crusaders Galactic Federation Capital Ship Explorers. Nothing else needs to be said here.
32.6: Wargames Ponies Play: The intricacies of magic and Federation Technology have been traded amongst the new allies. This simulates an attack by a powerful and more numerous foe in a simple game of Search and Destroy. Samus leads an elite team of Marines (Crusader Squad plus some) and Princess Luna leads a squad of Magickakorps (Vector Squad Remnant). Who will be victorious?

Well, those bonus chapters look like fun.
And I'm looking forward to that "little something extra". Is it going to be presented like the after credits scenes Prime 1 and 2 gave you for 100% completions?
Speaking of 100% completions...I really wish someone would make this story into a Prime style game that I could play. The story, the descriptions, the combat, the power ups...I love it so much, and wish I could play it! Especially the new Harmony related power ups. I can't wait to see how Samus utilizes them.
